i know these types of posts are annoying if you are a regular!

but i was only asking if anyone has stayed in these apartments as official reviews arent great!

i was only asking 8O

hi there,

i havent stayed in them myself, but i sort of know where they are

they are quite a walk back from the bay, have you been to ibiza before?

theres like a main road in san an bay with bars and restaurants on, if you follow this round, it leads to the promenade which leads you to the west end, sunset bars etc, but the monterrey is quite a way back off of the bay road, and its a bit uphill too.

dont really know much about the hotel itself

sorry couldnt be more help

:D

I stayed here, nice hotel but quite far from all the action and you have to walk up a dirt track to get to it.

I got Taxi's and the boat accross to the other side of the bay most days / nights.

I think we passed these on the way to the beach one day, and I thought they were a bit out of the way. Get yourself a car if you can ;)

I have stayed there although a few years back. The Hotel is a Looooooonnnnnggggg walk from the action so a car or if you are brave a moped and use of taxis is advisable. There is, or at least used to be a little bar half way down the dirt track (where i saw England beat Germany 5-1) so you can always stop in if dying of thirst on the way out/home.

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, if a little basic. We did have problems with our rooms at first as the booking had been mucked up but after a small wrangle the morning after arriving all was sorted and we got on with the holiday.

The residents seemed to be on the young and cheap end of things but there was no real trouble or noise pollution to speak of (apart from one night where the guy in the next room had a stand up argument with his girlfriend at full volume for most of the night)

Pool area was ok if a little lacking in sunbeds and drinks were CHEAP.

Essentially if you just need aplace to get your head down it will do the job but definitely comes under the category of "no frills".

Enjoy your trip!

thanks very much, all your replies are appreciated! :D

i'm not too bothered about being out the way, as mentioned it is only somewhere to have a shower and get some sleep!

if the taxi's are like anywhere else they wont be too expensive?

never been to ibiza before but i've been anting to go for ages!

so it wasn't too much of a hassle then being 30 mins - 45 mins walk from all the action?

thanks again peeps :D

well i had a great time, space closing party defo the highlight!

being out the way wasn't too bad, apartments were ok.

considering going back next year :D
