Hotel esVive

Thinking about this hotel for next season. Wonder if people who stayed there last season could help me with the following questions pwease.

- How much can I expect to pay for a room for 2 weeks?

- How do you book?

- How many people can you have in one room?

- How far to walk to PDB & Ibiza Town?

- Why is this hotel better than most for clubbers?

- Is it worth it?

Thanks people.

Go to their website here for rates and room capacities.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk either way to PdB or Ibiza town.

It is great for clubbers cos there are no families/kids and most people are likeminded. They also have an excellent 23 hour bar (outside in day/inside in evening). The food and pool area are excellent and in general it's a really good vibe.

The rooms are basic, but all in all it is worth staying there, you WILL have a good time. There are a few nobs that want to be seen and heard but not enough to be put off.

We've stayed there a few times now, but will probably give somewhere else a go next year.

:D

Aaron I stayed there last year for 11 day and this year for 2 weeks and I wouldn't stay there again unless it was for a long wkend.

The rooms are pretty basic and cos it's a hotel thee's no fridge/kitchen facilities, you've basically just got a room.

My main reason for staying there again this year was the 24 hour bar but that was rubbish compared to last year, last year the outside bar terrace was open all night, this year they have to close that at midnight so your only alternative is the inside bar which is on par with a rubbish poncey bar in London, you don't even know you're in Ibiza.

For something of similar price range I would say El Hotel is miles better.

We may consider giving there a try next year although i've heard mixed reports.

Nice rooms etc, but no atmospere whatsoever (apparently)

Re: the bar @ EsVive >

The outisde bar didn't stay open all night last year, at least not when we were there in August & September.

OK, the bar isn't exactly Bohemian, but it's generally always pretty full and they've blacked out the windows now so it's a great place to return to after a club and meet back up with people.

The music on the whole part was better than we heard in the clubs 8O

Aaron i wouldn't be put off so easily, i would definately recommend giving it a try at least once. PM me if you need any more info ;)

was a bit taken aback when we were asked to take the drinks inside at Es Vive BEFORE 12am!!!!

El Hotel looks amazing but seems v.pricey for this pauper

I think cos we were @ El Hotel in June it was quieter so there were less people around, the bar/restaurant area is nice @ El Hotel but we never saw it busy like Es Vive but I don't know cos that was due to when we were there.

When we were @ Es Vive in June 2003 the outside terrace bar was open all night, that was my main reason for booking again, I just didn't like the inside bar.

I would recommend people giving it a go but not initially for a 2 week holiday, 2 weeks is a long time without fridge etc I find.

I've stayed at both esVive and El hotel, and they both have their pros (oo er) and their cons.

The pool area @ esVive is alot better, space wise and vibe wise.
The rooms @ el hotel are much roomier (as they are apartments), so they are more sociable and more relaxing.
El hotel is sooooo handy for Pacha and El divino, and the bar area is amazing, altho not much atmosphere till later on. Also its about the same distance to ibiza town as esVive.

Like Barbie said I'd try both, why not do a week in each :?: Simple :D

Neither hotels lived up to the hype imo.

Es Vive has small rooms and no fridge. It is very noisey for people who like me want to sleep in the afternoons. On the + side you get sorted out on the guestlists of lots of places no problem. and it's nearer the beach.

El Hotel has much bigger rooms (i only stayed in the normal unrenovated rooms) with fridge and hob. The bars prices go up at night! there is not the same type of party vibe. On the + side you get guestlist at Pacha and it is VERY convienent for El Divino, Pacha, Keepers, Casino & Gusto but talamanca beach is a long hot walk.

For the record i stayed at Es Vive the weekend of the 23rd July and El Hotel the 3rd Sept.

Next time i would stay at the Royal Plaza if going for the weekend with mates or an Agroturisum hotel with the Mrs
