Just returned from here, so this is my mini-review..
It's in San Antonio, near the egg, just past Extasis - so quite handy, but away from all the beer boys and West End mayhem..
I always wondered where the French went on holiday, and now I have my answer, the Hotel Es Pla in San Antonio! I think I must have been the only English speaker there, frustrating when you're travelling alone and want to talk to people by the pool etc! On the plus side, they setup a hilarious outdoor karaoke most evenings - well I found it funny.
The website indicated aircon, but it meant 'aircon in communal areas' as there wasn't any in the room, so I had to buy a fan (why hire when you can buy for the same price?!)..
Still, at least the room had a minifridge as advertised (handy), and was very clean. As with all hotels I've stayed in in Ibiza, the walls are paper thin so you can hear lots of noise, mainly from the cleaners moving beds and furniture for some reason from about 10am as they go around cleaning the rooms! Incredibly loud din! Not good when you've just got in from an allnighter!!
Had satellite TV, but no English channels, just Spanish, French and German - some strange programmes on there, makes for some odd viewing when drunk!
Oh, and they lock the door at night, so you have to press a buzzer to get the security guy to let you in.. I prefer to be able to go in and out at will so didn't like that....
Ok, I've written it now! There's not a single review or comment on the internet about this hotel, so now there is ;-)
