Hi, i am off to the isle for my 3rd visit on the 28th, cant wait!, just wondering if anybody on here had any first hand knowlege of the Arenal? i read somne really good reviews from last year prior to booking but have recently seen some worring ones from this year so im slighly worried as i am there for 2 weeks and i'm taking my girlfriend who has never been b4.
thanks.

Nice one!

My wife and I will be staying at the Arenal from the 1st August for two weeks, been checking out info on it. If you do a search on these boards or check out the Hotel section of the site you can get some good info.

We had a crap Honeymoon in the Canary Islands last September so I wanted to make up for that by booking a good Hotel in Ibiza this year. The manager Mr Rivas has been helpful as I booked some chilled champagne and flowers in our room for arrival.

This will be my third time in San An the Arenal has a superb location right on the beach and has been rated as one of the best Hotels on the Island. But if anyone has any knowladge of the Hotel then I would also like to know.

Ive stayed ther and its lovely, right in the centre, beachfront, friendly staff, nice food, indoor pool, spacious rooms... you'll love it :D

stayed there last year, very nice indeed the rooms and balcony are huge.
Hope you payed for a sea view thoe, as my brother had a back room
over looking the road the screaching of mopeds drove him crazy.
We had a room on the beach side with fantastic views, only down side to that is i had my 5 year old daughter with us and can get the odd idiot walking home at 4 in the morining belting out his fave football chant !!!

all in all a top hotel!! ;)

how could ur honeymoon be crap mate?!

Easy - Going Places and their reps! Honestly i am never booking a holiday with that group again.

We got dropped at the Santa Clara aprts at 2am, no lighting and a shitty little map to find the room.

The room was not fit to let a dog live in, it stank, plaster was coming off the walls, the beds were not clean, the electrics were dangerous.

When I phoned the reps office I was told I had to wait till 9am when the rep would arrive, no rep till 11.30 and we couldnt sleep. Had to listen to his cheek, we did not get moved until that afternoon it was 6pm before we were in a suitable accomidation and it cost us 150 euro for the privilage.

This year we booked our flights and accomodation ourselves.

Well HaloBurn im sure your wife will be more than happy to have a second honeymoon in a great place .. not that iv ever been to Ibiza, but from what iv heard from quite a few people the hotel your staying in is fab i was actually thinking of booking a room there next year as it was one of me faves i picked out.
