Here's a thought...

Does anyone think that the Manumission people might, just might, be picking this fight with Privlige just to get more hype and press about thier party and the 10th anniversary?

The way I see it, if they pick this fight and then it all gets magically resolved "just in time" for the season, people will be talking about it more and they might be able to ram more people in to the party each week.

So, are they successful, intuitive business people with an ultimate plan? Or am I crazy! 8O

A couple of points, but I don't have an opinion:

They don't really need a publicity stunt. Every week was rammed last season and has been for as long as I've been going to the parties

Their 10th birthday is supposed to coincide with the UK's BBC R1 weekend - the BBC won't be messed about, they will just drop manumission from the proceedings

The theme for Manu or even the opening date is never confirmed any more than 3 weeks in advance.

This is still their 'time off'!

This is apparently going to be the last year @ Privilege and ( ) may even be the last year anywhere!

It was last year it was on the party callender way back, i have a copy i printed of in march as taking the monday spot and i doubt spotlight would put it on if it wasn't confirmed.

P.s Was there the week after the opening party last year and the club was no where near full (which i my opinion was better) but dont be fooled i think with so many big nights at good clubs and no more live sex, they do need the publicity.

Theres been no sex show for years now!
The theme last year was definately not revealed until 3 weeks before.
Manumissions publicity is largely word of mouth

McRankin I know you get a nice amount of gossip being on the island so I was just wondering what the word is on the street about this whole 'no manu @ privilege' thing.

I emailed one of the manu family about a month ago and they said it would all be ok, world party are taking bookings including in their package manumission @ priv, but still no confirmation...

Are there any whispers going about :?:

;)
