Am a dude planning a solo visit early September, all the way from the Asian side of the world. Have surfed the entire site and still no idea where to go!

Thinking of: San Antonio, Ibiza Town, or Bossa. Looking to chill out by the sunset a whole lot. But also to hit the beaches, meet fun party people, hit the clubs and get totally intoxicated. Quiet time when needed also important.

A friend recommended Ibiza Town and said it's the best place to meet the ladies... ;) But too far from the sunset strip...?

All advice welcome ...

Depends on your budget really.

Ibiza Town is the other side of the island to the Sunset Strip.

If you want to frequent Mambo Cafe Del Mar, Coastline, Savannah, Kanya etc. etc. then the Hotel Gran Sol is reasonably priced and clean for example.

If you want to stay on Bora Bora then look at Jet apartments.......

any help?

I am going solo at the beginning pf september too..and am going to stay in playa d'en bossa.. its where the clubs I want to go to are..

Jam Man - the Strip is around 30-45 min away, right? I wasn't sure how inconvenient the travel would be if I chilled out there a lot, might be trouble getting all chilled and then having to go all the way back to town ...

I hear a lot about the Strip and San An, and Bossa, but not really much about Ibiza Town. Could you tell me what the scene is like there?

Thanks!

Uta - party on!

Ok I'm really generalising here but the Ibiza Town side of the island (IMHO) is a more international and open minded scene.

The San An side is geared towards the British with a large number of 18-30 people taking cheap package holidays to hit the West End.

That said, The Sunset Strip with Cafe Del Mar, Mambo, Savannah, Kanya, Coastline and Kasbah does attract a fairly nice crowd and the sunsets from this side of the island are spectacular.

Ibiza Town is aethetically (sp) easier on the eye with the beauty of the old town and lots of narrow winding streets to explore. Plus you have Bora Bora Beach, Space, El Divino, Base Bar, K-ube and of course...Pacha!

So my advice would be to ask yourself what you really want from your time on the island and are you going to be mobile or reliant on taxis & busses?

If you have a car or can get a taxi easily then it really isn't an issue. There are great places to explore all over the island.

Have fun!

P.S. Here's a link to a pretty good Island map so you can get an idea of what's around....

Thanks Jam Man. That's very useful. Don't think I'm going to be driving, going to be too alcoholed up for that and have seen enough warnings from the posts.

Cool map!
