Hard Liquor/Alcohol in Supermarkets?

Just a quick question. Can you buy hard liquor (vodka, rum, etc) in Ibiza supermarkets like LIDL? In Texas you must go to a "liquor" store to pick up the hard stuff. Most supermarkets here ony carry beer, wine, girly drinks, etc. I assume Ibiza supermarkets have liquor but you know what happens when you ASS U ME. :?

You can, but I'm not sure I would trust the hard spirits in LIDL 8O

Most of the little supermarkets you find all over the place sell spirits as well.

I always buy my bottle of whisky Ballantines in any supermarket, it doesn't have to be a liquor store. Also, in a small supermarket you can buy it.

I'm not sure I follow. :? Wouldn't a bottle of Absolut bought in LIDL be no different than a bottle of Absout bought in a local smaller supermarket? Am I missing something? I've been up for days at this point so I'm not at 100%. ;)

LIDL don't sell big brand goods. They sell strange brands you've never heard of that seem to come from Eastern European countries

Oh really? I wasn't aware of that. So no Absolut? Do they have any decent top shelf liquors/spirits? What about red bull? Fruit? Lucozade?

There's a great affordable liquer store in San An (2 minutes walk from the west end) that has almost all alcohol types. It's located right in front of the official Space (the club) store there.

Nope fraid not. you'll get fruit juice and probably some mixers, but it will all be brands you've never heard of.

I've bought beer and wine ther before and its been ok (and its really cheap) but I've never had the courage to buy the vodka

there is another big supermarket on one of the roads out of Ibiza Town, which I think is a more 'traditional' supermarket. I haven't been there though myself. can anyone advise?

I'm staying right near Ibiza Town, in Es Vive to be exact. I'll have to find another choice of supermarket then. Dang, LIDL was so close to my apartment. :(

if you are intending to take your own drink into Es Vive be careful. They'll take it off you if they find it!

I'm staying in the town Es Vive, in between Playa and Ibiza Town. We are booked at the Sirenis Aparthotel Jabeque.

I can remeber i bought a bottle of Ballantaisn last year at LIDL...may be not this year....

Every supermarket in ibiza will sell hard liquor. This is Ibiza after all. Many supermarkets are so helpful they will pre package 1 bottle of vodka, 6 cans of red bull and some plastic cups for a knock down price.

If you're staying at Es Vive there is a small supermarket next door that does sell a large array of liquor. Lidl would be a long walk from Es Vive whereas the supermarket next door is only a couple of steps.

I'm staying at Sirenis Jabeque in Es Vive town, not Es Vive hotel.

I'm looking for a supermarket with top shelf liquor, red bull, fresh fruit, and Lucozade. Any suggestions?

Jet supermarket sells Lucozade, it is quite hard to get hold of in Ibiza but supermarket under Jet definitely sells it.

I knew I could count on you. You're the one who turned me on to Lucozade in the 1st place...can't wait to try it. ;) Sounds refreshing.

The perfect pick-me-up  ;)

If you can't get Lucozade there is similar Spanish drink, just make sure it's got glucose in it ;)

I love the Lucozade when I'm in the UK but in Ibiza I usually drink Aquarius. It goes down smoother and similarly replaces all the stuff your body's missing. Chug a bottle of that when you get home from the club and you'll wake up feeling fine. 8)

There's Spar supermarkets all over the place in Ibiza and they'll have everything you need.
