GU Afterhours CD

You don't have to pop a pill, chew nasty fungus or snort anything up your nose to feel like you are trippin' a mile above earth... this CD will do it for you. All I can say is CCCCCRRREEEEEEPPPPPYYYY.... I am not sure if I like it yet, I got it yesterday so I will have to listen more. CD2 is more appealing to my taste.

Talk about dark. They should have called it After AFTER hours. It goes from lazy, to a sort of dramatic mourning feel, then a little sexiness... and for the most part the whole thing just sounds kind of EVIL. I just picture someone laying on the floor in a drug haze, spiraling down the rabbit hole. Either that or people sitting in silence at a club with a wicked grin, bobbing to the beat.

It is definitely unique... totally moody tunes...I would borrow it from a friend before you buy though to make sure it is something you would dig.

It also comes with a clubbing DvD which is pretty fun. I love watching and listening.

Any other thoughts?

Gonna have to get it now for sure, probably bring back memories of being so spangled out of your head on the little guy's and stopping to watch people around you dancing in slow-mo and next thing you know its night again and you been at it for over 24 hours.... gotta love the feeling :twisted: 8)
 
Good Lord, this is some otherworldly stuff. Yeah you will like for sure. It is eerily beautiful and artsy in some areas. Totally super slo mo, like you can picture this fabulous montage in your head...

Sounds like the music you might hear if you ever attended an afterhours club on a space ship lol. 8O
 
Which one did you get? Volume I or II. Volume I is out of this world...love that kind of stuff! I just got Volume II and haven't been able to get around to giving it a proper listen/review.

I kinda always thought that was the kind of music I would find at Underground and/or DC10. This summer will be my first experience over to the white isle so if you know of where to hear that kind of stuff let me know...I'm game! 8)

22 hours of Space and 16 hours of DC10 back to back will definately give that effect too!! :twisted:

Yea for sure, I'll be in Ib on and off the whole summer and will definately be there for the closings around the same time as you and we'll definately go party!! 8)

Hahaha...... you all are awesome...... :D :D :D Keep hanging out and checking back to the music forums..... its been a little monotonous here lately and I am trying to pick it back up because I love it here. When you want a break from threads like "what are you wearing today" and sh*t hahaha.

I could not get enough of the second disc today. I must have replayed it four or five times. It has really grown on me.

Too bad now I want to go suck someone's blood hahahaha.
 
Yes I know I am home on a Friday evening... what a loser, right? Well, tomorrow looms one of the biggest, drunkest parties my city has to offer. I live in Pacific Beach, a beach/college town about 5-10 minutes north of downtown San Diego. Anyone ever heard of it?

Anyway, tomorrow is the famed PB Block Party... they close off two major streets and fill it with bands (yes there are electro DJ's too!), food, street faire, etc. and every house and apartment explodes with parties. Everyone walks around in their bathing suits all day in the sun and gets tanked... I must rest up tonight. Tomorrow is going to be utter debauchery... love that word. :P

I'll post some piccys. I finally found a fly ass bikini (after searching for 3 1/2 hours!!!) I saved almost 70 bucks on the whole ensemble. I am very proud of myself. It looks cute!!!

NO WAY THE PB BLOCK PARTY!!!! I've been a few times and it rocks!

My friends will be down there and they've got a booth with a dj on Cass and Garnett!!! Stop by the No Friends booth and ask for Manny and Ross and tell them Lewis say's hi and that I'll be sending them pics from Ibiza this summer!! They'll be totally stoked!!!

Wish I was back home for the PB Block Party! Anyways, have a great time PachaGirl79 and definately post some of those pics!
 
I haven't heard this disc yet, so I have nothing to add. However, I had to join in since this appears to be an American-dominated thread :D

Unfortunately, the time difference means I've missed you all :roll:
 
Dangit Lewis, I was so wasted I forgot to do that for you. I am a dumbass I know. My bikini was really bright though and i had a bright blue bucket hat, I wonder if they might have seen me? I was right up front for the DJ K set. Hahaha. Another time then, I guess.

Well I am suuuuuuuuper hung over right now so I am going to go eat my Santana's chicken burrito and pass out lol. Write more later. Happy Sunday.

ps. oh yeah PS i had an amazing time... drank from 10AM to 1AM lolololol. what a lush.
