the bar grial in av. 8 de agosto is open again after some little reforms. not much information about whats going on this winter except this:

· fridays: juan carlos escandell (house music)
· saturdays: al (eclectic mixture of house, jazz and mellow sounds)

anderbeat (barcelona) is now every saturday at grial accompanied by juan carlos escandell and ernesto altés - from midnight till 6am

between june 25th to july 25th hjordis fogelberg (art director of pacha) will exhibit her paintings at grial

today i spoke with the girl of grial and, as expected, the bar will remain open when the summer finishes. she also said that they will close the terrace with glass doors for the winter!!

a little update for this winter:

the local dj juan carlos escandell (apart from his new residency on a club in barcelona thanks to his friend An Der Beat) will be at grial every friday, like last winter!!

and another update about the 9-year-old grial:

· fridays - juan carlos escandell
· saturdays - b side with miyagi and francis lorenzo

the belgian dj francis lorenzo was djing this summer at grial on thursdays and the new bar hot on fridays (c. des passadis between baco's/hearts/noctámbula and akelarre)

and miyagi used to be one of the residents at the now closed blues

grial is open every day from 10am to 10pm as a coffee bar and from 10pm till late as a music bar with djs

resident dj joana (she also djs sometimes at de miedo in the port)

dj arian 911 (what's up?) and his girlfriend are now hosting an original new party called tice soup every thursday from 9pm. original because apart from house music they serve food, including different dishes every week (last thursday: thai soup)!!

on a curious note, the flat above the bar is now the new office of radio exit/punto radio (90.6)..........

like most places today, grial has a carnaval party tonight with a special what's up? party featuring dj maira, nano vergel and this man..........

dj arian 911 (what's up?) and his girlfriend are now hosting an original new party called tice soup every thursday from 9pm. original because apart from house music they serve food, including different dishes every week (last thursday: thai soup)!!

this party has been moved to fridays. now on thursdays they have a new one with various female djs!!

the guest dj on march 18th will be this guy..........

the local designer marcos torres from the shop dpende will be showing next thursday his new range of t-shirts accompanied by the djs joan ribas and captain soul. free t-shirts for everybody dressed up in 70s style!!

btw, after its success during the winter the party blaxploitation will carry on during the summer every sunday at grial

now on thursdays they have a new one with various female djs!!

now this party has turned into eclectic sisters with daisy heartbreaker and another female dj. the sessions of daisy (amargo, de miedo, cafe el pirata, etc) are a mix of punk rock, indie, britpop, electroclash and a long etcetera so certainly it will be an eclectic night!!
