Good/Bad Experiences with Hotel Mar Amantis 1 + 2??

Hi! I booked a week in August 2004 for Hotel Mar Amantis. Now, I read many things in Internet about it on such private hotelrating-sites.
And nearly everbody was impatient with this hotel....
Does anyone of you have experiences with this location?

Stayed at Mar Amantis I a couple of years back. Frankly I thought it was pretty good considering what we paid.

The rooms were pretty basic but clean, all the facilities worked and its just near the ferry thing that takes you to San An so you can avoid a long walk every evening.

If all you require is something comfortable and functional to put your head down in the evening then I would say the Mar Amantis is spot on. I didnt try the food (B&B - never made it up for brekky) but others we know said it was OK all things considered.
