This summer Garlands returns to Ibiza for its fourth year of Balearic mentalism taking up a Tuesday residency at San Antonio’s finest club, Eden.
This year Garlands have gone from strength to strength back in the UK thanks to their outrageous parties, stunning entertainers and not forgetting their fantastic residents. They topped Mixmag’s list of the Sexiest Clubs in the UK and were described as “The club that every other club secretly wants to be”.
In the main room its funky house all the way as Garlands residents Dave & Huey will be joined by some of the best funky house clubs in the UK including Fuel from Birmingham, Pukkafunk from Glasgow, Blend from Derby and the Glasshouse from Leeds.
In the back room Ibiza Classic’s will be spun by true legends form the island. Alex P and Brandon Block will be joined by the islands finest including John Kelly from Manumission, Jonathan Ulysses from Space and Pete Gooding from Mambo plus many more guests.
Having now settled on its home in San Antonio the Liverpool club hopes to bring funky house to a side of the island dominated by hard house and trance.
“If you are a fan of funky house staying in San Antonio and you want to go to a big club in Ibiza you have to get in a taxi and head to the other side of the island. Hopefully we can put an end to massive taxi queues in San Antonio every Tuesday night by giving the clubbers what they want on their doorstep” said Promoter Huey.
“We’re going to be joined by some of our favourite funky house clubs and DJs in the main room every week whilst in the back room we’re really excited about Brandon and Alex spinning true classics in their own inimitable fashion. Given their reputation and Garlands love of all things off the wall it should be an interesting partnership.”
The good news for the workers of Ibiza is that Garlands will also be hosting 8 Free workers parties at Kanya on Tuesday afternoons. If you’ve never been to a Garlands party at Kanya then just ask anyone who has – they will tell you that they are possibly the finest parties you will ever experience on the White Island. The parties are totally free to workers or anyone who has bought a ticket for Garlands at Eden.
