first time to ibiza

i am going to ibiza for the first time 13/10/04 taking my 13 yr old grandson, staying at Portinatx, i have been reading your Q/A pages but have not seen anything about the place i am going to, does anyone know it? is there any fun things for 13 yr old near it?
i don't drive but i understand there are bus services that cover most of the island,
are the taxis cheap or pricey as we have to make our own way to portinatx from the airport.

we are on a budget of around £400 for the week self catering,
any reccomendations of places to eat, not too pricey?

really looking forward to this holiday, getting away from the cold damp weather in london.

try browsing our main site for transport and other info.

there is a limited - 5 a day - bus service from ibiza town to portinatx.

a taxi from the airport will cost you about 50 euros or maybe more.

have you considered hiring a car for the week - you can set your 100 euro round trip taxi fare against the cost plus get to explore all the island at your convenience.

portinatx itself has many all inclusive hotels but has a fair sprinkling of other places to eat and drink which you'll find much more reasonably priced than in the uk.
