First time in Ibiza!!

Hey everyone-

I am going to Ibiza for the first time during the Summer of 2005! I really really had high hopes for going to Manumission on Monday Night at Privelege, but have seen a lot of posts with people saying that it isn't all that fun! Does anybody think Manumission is worth checking out? Can anyone else recommend any "must do" clubs while I am there? Coming from The Western United States, so really want to party it up while I'm there! Will be there from Friday 29th July - Sunday 7th August....if that helps anyone with advice on what clubs to check out! Thanks in advance!

Must do 'Space' and ofcourse PACHA & Amensia..
 
well, what music do you like? that all depends what you "must do".

Don't go to places because thats what you "should " do.

Personally , I love my techno music, and I would say, you must do cocoon, carl cox and we love ..@ space on sundays, but if you love you tiesto and trancey nights i'd say you must do Cream.

Still though, I like a variety of music and its good to try them all out. go to bora bora, check out a couple of day parties at space, try to go to amnesia, pacha and space... different atmostphere at all places

I have no desire to go to Manumission either, as cocoon is on the same night.. unless I was spending 4 months or something in Ibiza where I could pick and choose a bit more.

Check out the clubbing calander on the dates you are here. They should fill up even more with who is playing when. Don't miss space on sunday, cocoon or carl cox, but thats just my opinion.

I know what you mean though about making sure you hit the right nights when coming from far away.. I did that last year too and was on here all the time trying to plan my nights accordingly....

Even though I haven't been to Manumission, I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with Cocoon!

Hope you have a good trip.. its worth it!! even coming from as far away as you are ( and i did)
 
It depends a lot of what kind of music you want to listen, like written above. My advice is Space, Pacha and Amnesia as a must see clubs ;) ...All you have to do is check the party calendar and deside the djs you want to see (although plans usally are forgotten or thrown from a window after the first night :lol: )

BTW: Somehow I missed the Judgement Sundays @ Eden (Can't remember why :lol: ). I like Jules, but I'd like to hear your experiences/thoughts of this event!? Thanks.
 
Another first timer

I too am going to Ibiza for the first time at the start of June. I Loooooove House Music, but also quite open to most styles. I am only there 2 nights: 4th & 5th July, and just want to check what's going on

According to the club calender, there is a water party at Es Paradis on the Saturday, then also the Space Opening Party. They both sound really good, but I would also be keen to see the worlds biggest club; Amnesia.

What are the other clubs like that don't have anything major on in the club calender? Like is Amnesia always worth a visit? Would you ever do 2 of the superclubs in one night? What would be the best choice for House?

Music wise I like a good variety. I would say that I am more into good house, progressive house, and trance! I try to stay clear of techno, jungle...etc. Progressive house and trance are among my very favorites...so if that helps anyone to give me some recommendations? Have any of you been to Manumission? If so, what are your thoughts about it?

First of all, Privelege is the largest club, not Amnesia.

If you like your house funky, Pacha and El Divino are the places to go. If you like it harder, then check out Amnesia. On July 4 you've got a choice between Manumission (Privelege), Cocoon (Amnesia) and Release Yourself w/ Roger Sanchez (Pacha).

Of the three, I prefer Sanchez... if you like spectacle, the choose Manu but if you want some harder beats choose Cocoon. It also might depend on what kind of choice you want - the second room at Amnesia, the terrace, plays house while Pacha's second room is R&B.

On July 5, Defected at Pacha is the only thing going, really - it's a funky house night.

Hi Agent, I would say if you have never been to manu then go, privlege is such a huge club and a really good experience. 8)
