First Time Advice

Me and my friends, who are all at colege now (well most) are all planning a trip to Ibiza next summer, kind of like our last time together before people go off to uni or whatever.

We are just wondering about the money side of things really. We are going to go self catering, and want to visit about 2 or 3 of the main clubs in the week.

What amounts of money do you people take with you? We don't want to go all out and spend loads, but we want to be comfortable if you know what I mean.

Also, another question. Which are the most open minded clubs? I mean to get dressed up in Michael Alig Party Monster style.. haha.
(Ignore that question if you don't really understand :P)

Cheers,
Danny

it really does depends on how much you want to do. I reckon as an absolutle minimum you'd need £400

the big clubs are about £20-£35 to get in, and they are on every night. drinks in the big clubs range from £4-£8. so for every big club night you plan on doing you'll need a minimum of £50.

drinks in the bars like mambo/coastline and the big west end bars are about £5. there are plenty of cheap supermarkets though and people often buy drinks from these to drink outside the sunset bars before heading to other bars and clubs.

food again can be as dear or as expensive as you like. some restaurants will cost as little as £6, most in san an i would say will cost you £10, without drinks. obviously you can do it cheaper by self catering.

taxis to the big clubs range (depending on where you stay obviously, i assume it'll be san antonio) between £15-20.

Ibiza is an expensive place and costs loads to get the most from it, but also on a budget it is still much better than any other med holiday i have been on. Its a very special place.

i kept all my dosh in the bank wen i went, there r plenty of cash points round, i took 2500 quid 4 2 weeks, lasted well, if u dress up good enough they let u in 4 free!! (at least they let me in 4 free) :P

The budget I always use for 2 people is $300 a day. We spend less on days when we don't go to the big clubs, and sometimes more on the days when we do.

I'm assuming that's euros you're talking about!

I took £1250 for 10 days and had 7 large nights out + taxis!!

Had change to take home the usual cheap booze / cigs.

Thanks for all the answers, we are not looking to go to the main clubs every night just a few in the week.

Are there any opinions on the latter question about open-mindedness?

Do you mean Ali G? :?

Dress code pretty much anything goes in San An. Some of the more elitest clubs in & around Ibiza town may have fashionista policia bouncers sorting wheat from chaff.

Michael Alig was the guy who was a promoter in the 90s and murdered his friend then boasted about it until the police got wind of it and he was arrested, convicted and sent to jail. Disco Bloodbath was the book writted on the story, also 'Party Monster'

I would think that the Ibiza Town Harbour area would be a fitting venue for that look....
