Finding accomodation when you get there?

My 2nd trip over this summer is on 19th August for a week. However, two friends of mine are also coming over then but only for fours days. We want to to stay in PDB but are really struggling to find anywhere reasonably priced for 4 days only. (I'll be OK after that - I have friends with villas I can go to but I can't really pitch up looking for them to take in three of us.)

Anyone ever just turned up in PDB and sorted out somewhere to stay?

Or should we accept we'll have to book a room for a week in San An and travel across the island all the time?

2 years ago we had a villa the first week of September. One of our goup had come from Vietnam (don't ask!) and the only flight he could get back left 2 days after we had left the villa. He wanted to stay round the ibiza town/PDB area and he had real problems finding somewhere to stay. He spent a whole day going round all the hotels.- they all seemed very reluctant to commit and all told him to come back the day he wanted to stay, which wans't particularly hepful. He found somewhere in the end, but only after he'd spent a day of his holiday walking round everywhere.

Just the washing business that bother me. Know that I will meet a)lots of people I know out there and b) meet lots of new friendly faces, both of whom would offer the use of their facilities but I wouldn't turn up on that basis.

I had a week at Es Vive lined up, but the other 2 couldn't/would wear the cost :twisted:

Apologies! Sometimes I'm trying to type a post whilst answering the phone and dealing with various other things, and I just try to get it down as soon as possible.

Plus- my computer has an annoying habit of going all funny when I press the 'submit' button, and loosing everything I've just written. :evil: :roll:

I think it was fully booked early season this year.

Buckley, have your friends tried looking around Figurettas - which is generally less expensive than PdB?

I had a room line up about three weeks ago, but my muckers would spend out.

Will try Figueretas!

rather than San An - you could try Port Des Torrent - theres's a few appartmentson here which are available and not badly priced - they sleep 4 comfortably....
