Would be interesting to know if the FIFA Championship in Germany 2006 would change your plans of going to Ibiza next summer.

Please vote......

im cancelling the Ibiza opening parties for the World Cup.. A world cup which is relatively near only comes about once every 8 years .. you can go to Ibiza every year for 4 months each year!!

Cant wait for that German road trip in June visiting strange German villages and not knowing where we'll be sleeping.

Still going to the Ibiza closing parties ofcourse ;)

Will actually be in Ibiza from the Round of 16 all the way to the semi-finals. Was going to fly back to North America on the date of the final, but I don't see why I wouldn't stay in the UK for it :)

I'll probably watch games at the pub in Ibiza as post-beach pre-party activity.

I might go to Germany for the final though 8)

Hola Soccer-Fans!
Maybe the site www.edff.net might help you to find cheap accommodations in germany. So maybe you can make both, Fifaworldcup and Ibiza. With the safed money you can make a few days clubbing after the semi-final lost in 11m-shootout against us ( germany). :p
You are all welcome, i hope we`ll have a nice, fair and peacefull worldcup!

Greetings from Germany!

Simon

I'm going to Germany, although I was in Playa d'en Bossa during Euro 2004 and that was fun.
Where did you watch the games? We were always at this bar on the side street across Garbi Aparthotel... halfway towards the bar Kopi and club Kiss Somny. I forget what it's called but they were giving out free shots whenever England scored 8)

im watiting to hear from the ballot if we've got tix. unlikely i guess but you gotta be in it to win it!!! if we get tix we will knock ibz on the head til sept. if not, we may join johnny M in the bar

was in ibz during the last world cup. watched eng v brazil in a bar in portinax with loads of brit familes. twas great (not the result obviously) watching footie with a beer at 0930.

the atmosphere when spain got beat by sth korea was a little strange though8O

Yay we were there for the World Cup in 2002, I remember leaving Pacha and going straight to a bar to watch the England v Brazil game and it was perfectly legitimate to have a wine at 8am in the morning

I think I was at Pacha that night 8O I went back to the hotel and watched the game in bed

I was there for both the 02 World Cup and Euro 04. (deja vu... did we have another thread about this recently?). I thought the football actually added something to the trip, to be honest. It's one more bit of fun on an already fun trip, especially if you find a good bar in which to watch the games.

We're always there for World Cups/European Championships, not that much thru choice just cos it's the time we go. We actually find we're less bothered about watching football when we're in Ibiza, if we were at home we'd watch it religiously and you seem to get more caught up in the media hype of it all, whereas we find we get a bit detached from it all in Ibiza.

DAMN RIGHT!!!! WE WERE ROBBED!!!!!!!

I take it youve applied only for the England games?? We've agreed that even if we dont get them we'll be going to Germany anyway..
The draw is done on the 31st of Jan.

MarkSimpson, any reason why you want to see Angola v USA?? Is it because you'll be there anyway??

I'll be in Munich for the Aussies vs Brasil, but still waiting on the ballot to see if I'll get tickets to the game itself (we'll be there for a bucks weekend as well)... however there's no way I'm missing opening parties so looks like I'll be doing two trips in June :)

Are you made of money?? ;)

I did contemplate going to the openings AND the World Cup but I dont think I could afford it in the same month (im budgeting about £700 for 12 days in Germany).
Im considering a weekend in Ibiza in july though to make up for it.

Russ you didnt apply for any Spain games did you?? Also have you heard of a legitimate website where you can buy and sell tickets at face value?? I think theyve set it up so people can re-sell any tickets they cant use or they bought before the draw was done.
