Me and my mates are staying in San An, from 16th August - 30th and we are staying in the Es Calo Playa Apartments,, Since booking I've heard this is a right sh*t hole,, anybody stayed there before????????
Yep I stayed there last year - fantastic location Fair enough they are not 5* but were perfect for what we needed i.e cheap 5 min walk to sunset strip, 2 min walk to calo des moro beach. We didn't have a balcony as it's only the larger rooms which do but we had large patio doors. Also aircon if that's important to you.
Also found the staff to be friendly and were moved promptly when we found ourselves in a basement musty room 8)
Tbh I wasn't going looking for a quality room (only sleep in there anyway) and the price was right so a bit of a winner for us as as I've said it was the area we wanted to be in
I stayed there in June... It was fine, in a good position for 'sunset strip' (particularly Kanya) and a 10 minute walk from the West End (though some might consider that a bad thing ). The rooms was basic, but clean and cheap - what I was looking for really.
Thanks both, heard alot of bad about the place but it's good to hear that it is that bad and sounds just what we are looking for,, cheap, and has bed's haha
will b there same time as u fella although only 16th - 23rd heard some bad things b4 too but most of em seem to come from a few years back from what i can tell and they had a refurb bout 2 years ago seems to have improved things
well it was supposedly quite good according to what i´ve heard, but my friends had all their stuff stolen there this year! somehow broke in and took all the stuff there was
There was a girl (from other apartments) trying to get to a party in one of the rooms one night/morning, and there was no way they'd let her up... 'Security' seemed as tight anywhere else. With it being quite a small place, I'd imagine they have a better sense of who genuinely belongs there.
yeh not long now 6 of us goin 5 lads 1 lass lol! think u jus gotta use your common sense like everywhere really an put valueable stuff in safety deposit boxes!
well i dont know, i dont know all the ins and outs of it so i cant really comment but as has been said just dont leave ur keys in reception and if you get a ground floor apartment then panic
