Epic Songs/Tracks/Tunes (10mins plus)

recorded 49 years ago, this is miles' tribute to sometime sparring partner roberto duran. the music suggests 2 cagey fighters in the confines of the ring. the album jack jones was a seminal moment in my appreciation of jazz, though for decades i thought michael henderson played bass on this track. it is in fact dave holland - really funky for a lad from wolverhampton!

cheating I guess as this is really 4 tracks segued into one but I think the backstory is LCD originally licensed it out to Nike (sellout!) back in 2006 for some ad campaign they were running and then it created a bit of a buzz and eventually came out as an EP. If you have a spare 46 minutes, listen to the whole thing in sequence uninterrupted. See what you think. I reckon it still sounds awesome, especially the third section.

Spent the summer of 82 in nyc, the white rock radio stations went very big on Idol's WW, even bigger on A Flock of Seagulls I Ran, I wonder, today?
The black stations were hammering Grandmaster Flash...The Message, still have the 12 inch, dog chewed sleeve, some dents, still playable....
