they are playing Canvas on 27th May.

We went to the same event at Canvas last year and it was one of the worst organised evenings I have ever been to. there was broken glass everywhere because they didn't have any glass collectors, the place was seriously overcrowded and the layout of the place meant that to get out of the upstairs bit you had to get through the main room to the stairs. It was so overcrowded in the main room I really didn't feel safe.

That's such a shame! 8O

Is the date confirmed? I was really hoping they were going to pick the Ministry too.

Still, I'll be there. Was the atmosphere any good? More details please! ;)

Where did you find this out?

Tickets are on sale via ticketweb.

The organisational problems did ruin the atmosphere for me. One of our friends had to queue for over an hour to get in, then MAW came on about an hour and a half later than they should have done

We got so fed up with the overcrowding that we gave up on the main room in the end.

Hopefully they will sort it out better this year. the organisers knew there was a problem because they were apologising on Don't Stay In. If you are going to go I would advise getting there early, finding your spot in the main room (well away from the door!) and staying there all night!;)

...Will you be going back?

(Where did you spot this one then? I've been looking for ages! 8O)

I troll through all the listing on Ticketweb every so often because sometimes they list stuff much earlier than the clubs (god how geeky does that sound  )

TBH I wouldn't go to another big event at canvas. I like the club but the layout is rubbish.

I'm not sure why they don't play at Ministry any more. i guess the capacity of Canvas must be bigger (last year they opened up Key as well)

Haha, why the hell is it a secret? We're hardly talking illegal M25 rave stuff here, are we?

Surely it's "we haven't confirmed yet..." or "it's a big room somewhere that's not normally a club and will be a sweaty sh1thole"

 at the resident cynic!

(true though ;))

The locations a secret to prevent the salford toss pots turning up and ruining it as they did with the rest of Manchesters night life. Nothing like a gun in your gut to kick start a come down.

Ive been to plenty of illegal raves in Manchester or "Duck Do's" as we called them. This isn't claiming to be illegal, merely a secret location to add to the fun and prevent the **** house gangsters spoiling it with fake tickets and violence:cry:

I had never though of it like that. You have my genuine apologies.

Good scumbag management infact!

Hope it all goes well.

I went to that event at canvas too. It was my birthday so made the trip down from london.

I agree with your comments. It was far to crowded in there....STUPIDLY!

The music was ace though.

The downstairs part had good music etc, but the main room was a joke to be fair!
