Dodgyness with the Bank Cards...

...Weird.

Cancelled my old debit card back in november last year. But was still able to use my old details to buy stuff on a mail order site on the internet till mid jan.

I was still using the old number that was stored on the national lottery site as well with no worries. And the lottery people only just got onto it before.

Doesnt your old card number get cancelled alltogether when you tell your bank to cancel it?

Could be a potential gold field blag if we put our heads together on this one people.... not that I would abuse the situation in any way, being an employee of one of the worlds biggest banks and all that.....

Normally your card is still usable for switch transactions, especially if it is below the store's floor limit, approx £75, or of course it is an online/telephone payment.
All transactions will however go onto your account...unless of course you report it as fraudulent use (though that involves going to the police, but they normally don't care)
