This week we had the return of Dizzee Rascal after one year absence to his home away from home... oh, and an unexpected mid-summer storm!

But first it was the turn of producer and BBC Radio 1 dj Toddla T who also played at the hotel in the past.

We saw him in 2010 at Ibiza Rocks and in 2012 at We Are Rockstars but this time he came as Toddla T Sound, which features vocalists Shola Ama, Serocee and MC DRS. Their hour-long show was eclectic and fun (you just had to watch Toddla T's face to see how much he was enjoying it), with the highlight been "Manabadman" featuring Serocee from his first album Skanky Skanky. Special mention also to Shola Ama's great voice.

Annie Mac, along many other famous faces, was in the VVIP enjoying her boyfriend's show!

After his sold out gigs in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, Dizzee Rascal was back with new material to present.

His upcoming fifth album, aptly titled The Fifth, is scheduled for release at the end of september and will feature a lot of collaborations (Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, will.i.am, Robbie Williams on "Goin' Crazy" -already out as a single-, etc). Luckily for those of us that have seen him live a few times and were expecting something different to the previous times, half of the show was based on songs from his new album plus a few from the platinum selling Tongue N' Cheek ("Dance Wiv Me", "Holiday" and "Bonkers" to finish) and from the now classic Boy In Da Corner ("Luv U", "Fix Up, Look Sharp" and "Jus' A Rascal") with none from the second and third ones. The ten new songs premiered (yes, ten!) were "Superman", "I Don't Need A Reason", "We Don't Play Around", "Bassline Junkie", "Ass Like That", "Good", the mentioned "Goin' Crazy", "Something Really Bad", "Heart Of A Warrior" and "Love This Town". Add the collaboration with Chase & Status ("Heavy") and "You've Got The Dirtee Love" and you have the complete list of songs played.

During the second song the thunder and lightning gave way to the rain that would continue for the rest of the night, something that didn't happen since Ibiza Rocks Hotel's grand opening in 2008... something to think about for those asking if it's worth to pay a bit more to access to the VIP. Big ups to the crowd for standing under the rain... what a brave bunch!

As expected, it was one of the busiest wednesdays of the season (if not the busiest) as Dizzee still has a massive following and not even the rain could spoil the fun and excitement of his hordes of fans. Off the scale bonkers!
