Ok so I have known about this for some time now, keep doing research to make me feel better about things, but where do i begin?

got all this research, still not sure of my title even?

do any of you have constructive pointers for me, please help!
thanks :D

What's it going to be on Rachel??

I completely blagged mine, made up lots of research that I'd supposedly done, if you'd actually done the research then that's a bonus ;)

You know the headings to put it all in:

Abstract
Introductgory Review
Methodology
Results
Concluding Discussion
Appendices
References/Bibliography

or similar to that.

Once you start breaking it down into the headings it becomes a lot easier.

Re title, just choose something that sounds a bit intellectual  Mine was 'The New Female Deliquent: Empirical Reality or Media Myth?' Funk knows what it means but it sounded good  ;)

that does sound intellectual missy. 8O
well it is going to be on sustainable housing - got a case study called House for the future (2050). I need to take a critical angle on it. It is a museum piece back home so i was thinking i could take it from that angle but not too sure.

i have done research - on the house, sustainable issues etc, the need for things to be done now, and a lil on museums.

its just a case of getting stuck in now. thanks for the help, i need ll i can get.

Babs in 'intellectual shocker' 8O

If I was you I'd just start writing and see what happens, you can put stuff into headings and everything later, just get down everything you can to start with and you'll be amazed at how quick those 10,000 words come out.

yeah prob best to put pen to paper and see what the hand writes.

It has to be 7,500. english is not my strongest subject tho - think i was better in school at welsh to be honest lol.

Here goes! :?
thanks

I'm supposed to be writing one at the minute as well, nice to know I'm not the only one who hasn't started! Mine is on challenges to globalisation in Latin America and is supposed to be 15,000 words long. I planned to start immediately upon getting back from Ibiza but I have been ill pretty much from the moment I stepped off the plane. Doh!

Buy one of the web, guaranteed written just for you and plagarism free and guaranteed to whatever grade you can afford to buy :D

Ah, the progress the Internet has brought to us all

Don't know if all Uni's are the same but at mines you could borrow Dissertations from previous years. Borrow a couple that are similar to yours and rip off parts of them to fill the background reading/research sections and also give you ideas on chapter headings and the way it should be written. As it is meant to be filled with quotes from books etc it cant be plagerism.

The only bit you really need to work hard on yourself is the case study.

Thats how i passed mine anyway, however, Scottish Uni's may be different to down south.

So basically the best advice is blag, copy, bluff and cheat :D

Shit, i'd have aced uni if i'd gone

I'd have aced it if I'd gone too!!!
Especially since I was already paying for it and living the dormitories

did mine in 2 days.

got required pass grade, never was one to spend ages writing reams of BS. didnt affect my overall mark tho, cos i made up for it in areas which im stronger in.

im a designer not a novelist.

Done mine in just under a week. Was 2% off a 2:1 as well!

Uni is a joke. Unless your doing a genetics or engineering or something its a piece of piss

I disagree. Though I didn't apply myself very well, and my grades sucked, and I came out of it $20k in debt, I still value the experience.

I'm in a field totally unrelated to what I studied (though I live in a region relevant to what I studied, which is truly fascinating). What uni gave me more than anything is a way to view and analyze problems and issues and to assimilate information, process it, and use it. The proper tools for critical thinking. Once you've got that, you can do anything, really. For that, I am thankful.

Exactly.. :(

Id say copy what you can, but be prepared for the presentation you have to give.
I was so sure I was going to muck mine up I skipped it (plus it was Portugal V USA in the 2002 World Cup at the same time, cracking game)

Didn't we win that one?

Quarterfinals, y'all! Same as England  (and further than Spain 8O )

Rachel,

I handed mine in at the start of this year. I did mine in under two weeks, made it all up, and got an easy 2:1 8)

Borrowed some similar dissertations from uni, said I conducted a 200 person study, and also said I conducted interviews with a few marketing managers...all made up

Then sat for 8 hours a day writing for two weeks

If you need any help PM me, and I can send you mine
