Detox

Has anyone else still stuck to NY detox? I'm on day 9 or 10 now.
I don't even feel like wine either, starting to scare myself. I even had a plate of raw fish for lunch. :?

Diet's back on track, but despite cutting down considerably still partaking of the ol' vino (along with a few social fags)

Am i ready for rehab?

:?

post-colonic balanced diet still in force 6 months on.

more veg, more water, less red meat, cant remember last time i had a ready meal, but still partial to the odd take out, so long as it aint dominos, cos last one i had made me feel so bloody lethargic when i woke up the next day.

am the same weight, but feel much better in my mind... even in jan!

My detox/diet started this week, so far so good! Not drank or smoked, plus I've been eating very healthy and drinking loads of water. I had a tuna salad for lunch, normally I hate that ol' rabbit food malarky but it was suprisingly nice! Not had carbs all day which I'm struggling with a bit, dont know how people do the Atkins diet! 8O

Day 2 of the slim fast diet, doing okay at the moment not really suffering from any major hunger pangs because i get to eat 3 calorie controlled snaks in-between meals.

Good news is i can still have a curry, just have to have curried vegetables instead of adding chicken, that makes me happy :D

basically since I ended new year with £50 for the month after having a little too much fun at various parties and also splurging about £350 in the sales so I've been eating pasta and home made sauces all week... in addition to the wine I got for a company bonus.

But I went to the gym yesterday for the first time since pre-november, so I'm getting back in gear..!

good food will be back on the menu from 24th of the month    :spank:

Oh good to hear others are being healthy little bunnies! I'm gonna keep on with it as I have to admit I feel really good.

It's my B'day on sunday though so my halo may slip for a glass of pinot and a slice of cake!

Day 2 of dull, boring, horrid 3 week detox here! :D
Gym 5 times a week (2 cardio, 3 weights), absolutely no junk food/alcohol/caffeine/naughtiness and keeping toxins down to a minimum.

I'm feeling so smug I'm beginning to irritate myself. :?

Ah, they're just being a big bunch of wussies

I don't think I've gone a day without a drink in ages :D and I'm still smoking 15 cigs a day on average. I've got a beer in my hand right now :D :D

Tonight for dinner I had cuban-style pork, black beans and rice. Fat count? Who cares!

I found out yesterday that, despite pigging out in Amsterdam, I didn't gain any weight over vacation. 8)

OK, I did catch a little cold over the weekend but nothing a little OTC medication didn't clear up this afternoon. Feel fine now.

I say detox is overrated

Morbyd just cos you don't gain weight it doesn't mean your cholesterol isn't building up young man! I mean look at poor Lou Lou!

How you doing anyway? ;) :D

I'm doing well, thank you. Had a really good holiday and now back in the office (though we just moved to a new office, which I'm finding a bit disconcerting).

I personally believe cholesterol is a good thing. Helps build up valuable fatty deposits around the heart to prevent unnecessarily long lifespans ;)

We can talk about if if you have a heat attack (and I'm not wishing you one, of course)

I don't do detox, I am lucky to follow a very healthy diet all year long: lots of fruits and veggies, fish twice a week and meat once a week, 2 litres of water everyday, I'm social drinker and social smoker and my only diary sin is a bit of dark chocolate at night and my laughing cigarete. ;)

I went to the gym a couple of days ago for the first time in ages, though a week snowboarding before that is way more physically demanding than a few trips to the gym anyway.. as a result of both aforementioned activites, I have a sore back, sinus infection and my arms and chest feel like I've been beaten with baseball bats 'Goodfellas' style. I also had to get up twice last night because I'd drank so much filtered water so I'm tired and grumpy...

Yep, detox is great.

Mark - my point exactly!

Silvia - Not sure if you caught the irony in my statement on cholesterol. I was refrrerring to a heart attack, which is the desired result of "valuable fatty deposits around the heart", thus preventing "unnecessarily long lifespans" ;)
