I'm heading to Ibiza in mid-September with my other half and its a few years since my last visit. You're obviously into your deep soulful stuff.

Where's the best places for us to go in the evening/night. We've already got tickets for Defected at Pacha but we've got 4 other nights to fill. We'd hate to be surrounded by kids and have to listen to techno all weekend. btw- we're 32 and 39.

Any ideas would be great!

We quite often go to Vagabundos at Pacha (always has a mixed crowd age wise), we swerve the main room as ridiculously packed and head to the Global Room where the music is usually deeper, they had Theo Parrish and Moodymann a couple of years back (amazing night) and this year have had Kenny Larkin and DJ QU amongst others. Sankeys is a good shout as above but choose your night carefully. Soulful stuff is much harder to find, Defected isn't a bad idea as they have the occasional decent DJ but also alot of dross. Smaller places like Blue Marlin (Louie Vega did a night there over the last few years but don't think he is this year sadly), the above mentioned Aura and The Sands etc are worth checking. Space is ok, I have noticed some decent DJ's for Enter including Mike Huckaby who is the don of deep house for me. It's all about scouring for the odd deep/soulful DJ and working around that night, good thing is they usually play in the smaller rooms at the bigger clubs. We've been out already this year but actually didn't go out (family thing) but are heading out again in August for a long weekend as the Innervisions lot (Dixon and Ame are playing at Space ). I'm pretty sure they are doing another in September (I'll check and get back to you). Not exactly soulful but they definitely play some superb deep and techy house

Personally I would avoid Amnesia (except Cocoon, have had some good nights there but the club is too big for my liking), Eden, Es Paradis & Privilege and I think you'll enjoy it

There is also Ibiza Calling at Space on Mondays where on the Sunset Terrace you get Kiko Navarro playing most weeks...and finally Giles Smith (Secretsundaze......top, top DJ) told me he is playing at the Zoo Project in September. I'll see if I can find out the date
