David Guetta in Toronto, Sunday October 23rd @ Lot 332! 10:00, $10

One of the advantages of not really having a house scene in a given city is that when heavyweights come to town (Deep Dish, Mylo, Guetta...) you can see them for $10-$15. (€7-11) :D

toronto doesnt have a house scene?

Well, it's all relative, but for a city of its size, no, it doesn't have a house scene.

well i couldnt disagree anymore with you.

alot of great clubs here hosting lots of international and local talent. from footwork to film to comfort zone to boa to system to guvernemt to the new boa plus all kinds of one off parties happening all the time!

id say that not only do we have a house scene but we have a very big and strong one at that. i personally think were spoiled here with all of the local talent here and great international guests rolling thru on a consistent basis.

but hey, think whatever u want ... its all good!

Great to hear that Jebac, I would actually rather be contradicted that agreed with on this issue :D

I haven't really been exposed to local talent, truth is I have yet to hear of one Toronto house DJ who is shaping the scene enough to be heard of outside of the area. I'll take a second look at what's on offer here and take note of the establishments you mention, perhaps you'll change my opinion!

I maintain, however, that if house had reached the levels of popularity that it enjoys in other comparable cities of the world, one wouldn't be able to see, say, Mylo or David Guetta for ten bucks in establishments that hold a couple of hundred people. Again, not necessarily a complaint, more of an observatioin.

As for the local talent, I welcome the recommendation of artist names, I'll make sure to keep an ear out for their music.

Cheers!
