"And I think the only thing that came along that stopped that cool tag for a while was that we went over commercial but that is completely unavoidable with anything ever in the world. Hip hop was one of the most underground, seedy musical styles but now it’s number one in every hit parade in the world. And the same with dance music, dance music was so and then it was number one all over the world. The commercial here was that 20% extra that was not really that relevant. It came along for two or three years, and now it likes something else."

Is this man trying to cheat on us or does he only think on big amounts of money coming and coming into his bank account? Of course is avoidable to make Ibiza sooooo commercial. There're a lot of clubbing styles like electro, minimal sounds, etc, waiting to get some room. But one still has to resign to parties like Cocoon and a few others much less important to listen and dance to that.

The thing is that house music is getting boring and boring in my opinion. An important musical change is needed. Release Yourself, Subliminal, Hed Kandi, Defected, and many other very-well-known parties are becoming the same sh1t. The trance music played on the island is crappy trance. Not the real good trance that real 'trancers' love. I'm not a big fan of trance, but I know people who love trance (not commercial trance) and wouldn't ever go to Cream.

Don't think you can fool everyone, Mr. Whittle. Some people think people like you are making the real Ibiza spirit to fade away. No not really. I think people like you are attracting people who will never get the real spirit of Ibiza, and even who don't really care.
