cream- stabbing

was anyone at cream on sat night or has anyone heard about this? i was there an havin easily one of the best nights i hav had since ibiza last year. managed to get in vip on stage next to dj booth. at about half 3 (half 4 because of clocks goin forward) the dj stopped the music followin orders from staff and there was a bit of confusion as to what was goin on. a few people had told us there had been a fight and a guy had been stabbed. then dj was allowed to play on only to be told to cut it for good severall minutes later. about 15 mins later everyone had to leave and such a brilliant night was cut short. we spoke to a bouncer to see what had actually happened an if the guy was ok. he said he had been stabbed in the legs and would hopefully be ok. (fingers crossed) think all this happened inside the club. i was so totally gutted that this would happen especially as there was such a good atmosphere before hand. i will def be going to the next one its just a shame idiots had to ruin this one for everyone. :(

The lastime i was at nation it was meant to finish at 6 and finished 2 hrs early!! was stood outside freezing waiting for our taxi! not sure what caused it but may have been something similar, its probably the worst venue that ive been to in this country but have had some wicked nights in there! its always too cramped, very dirty and full of scallys!

i actually found everyone really friendly in bars beforehand and in the club. yeah there were a few scallys but you get that everywhere an im used to it in manchester! (though i hav learnt which places to avoid now!) seemed to b alot of people come from all over the country to go to cream an to just the bars in liverpool. so it must hav some sort of charm. i loved my nite till that incident anyway.

cream used to have the strictest door policy ever, literally every person searched extremely thoroughly, all posessions into a see-through plastic bag for inspection, all pockets inside out, sometimes even shoes off. every person got this. then it shut down.

since they have "re-opened" there are 1/10th as many security. the crowd the club attracts has changed drastically as well in the past 2 years, and these one off special events they put on every few months attract a bad crowd with a shit attitude.

It doens't matter if people get searched, if someone wants to take a weapon into a club then they will find a way somehow.

Anyway, even if someone didnt have a knife or weapon they could easily do as much harm with a bottle or glass, things that the club actually sell themselves

That's a shame really!!
I've only been to Liverpool (& surroundings) and I found out scousers really friendly people and hey, the best dressers in the whole UK (sorry folks!). Darlings on Charlies......... :D

I love Liverpool!!

When I was in a club on Friday night, I was in a cubicle in the toilets and heard glasses smashing everywhere in the toilet area. Stayed in the cubicle till all the noise went away then quickly made my way out.

Not surprised...the crowd was awful!

Maybe this isn't a case of some random in the wrong place at the wrong time, but someone has been treading on the toes of someone he shouldn't have/

It's the way he choses to live. (maybe)

its such a shame, liverpool has to be one of the best policed cities, ive been here 3 years now and hardly seen any trouble on a night out, obviously the few scuffles like.

ive been to cream loads, went on the cream birthday in october to c morillo, shapeshifters and timo maas and it was awsome, the atmosphere was wicked aswell.

i thought the atmosphere was gonna b really good on sat. coz all the old faces would've been out aswell so i was suprised to hear bout that. i went to garlands on saturday and it was brilliant!

i absolutley love garlands its the best club in the country!!!!!

I can't see how anyone can blame liverpool as a city for this incident!

You will get scallies/chavs/whatever in every city and town in the country, its just unfortunate that a lot of liverpools rogue element are attracted to Cream becasue of the name, most of them know sod all about music but because Cream was the biggest club brand in the country they percieve it as the 'in' place to go.

I think Cream this time had tried to attract less of the scally element by the line up they put on - a lot of the older DJ's who used to play at nights like Full On as opposed to the harder side of things which they have booked recently when they have been open for the one off nights.

I wasn't there myself on Sat, but a few mates were and have said that they had found the atmosphere better than previous nights that cream have done recently such as Boxing day.

This incident shouldn't make people doubt liverpool clubbing. The city is absoluetly thriving at the present as Sunday at Circus with DLC and Xpress 2 proved!
