Hey just booked a two week stay in the club paraiso in san antonio bay. We are going next august (8th i think). just wondering what the facilities are at the complex( how far from beach etc). Also what would the room set up be. There are seven of us going so obviosly we are having two rooms, so would it be 2 sofa beds and 2 single beds?

This is our first holiday together as mates so will be looking to have a wicked time so why clubs are the best to go in. Looking to take about £1000 with me, will that will be enough?

Cheers in advance any other info would be much appreciated about San Antonio

I have stayed at Club paraiso twice.
It is a very clean and modern, well looked after place with good security.
1 large pool with dj etc and another quieter one.
The studios and apartments on the top floor are the best imo as they are outside eg no corridor to create lots of noise when your trying to have a kip.
The studios had 2 sofa beds which had a pull out bed in the bottom so that 3 people could sleep in them, don't know about the apartments.

There is apparently a beach 250 metres away but i never went to it. If you want a decent beach get a bus to Cala Bassa or Cala Comte, or have a walk along to the stretch of beach in between the Town and the bay (10 minute walk).
The sunset strip with Mambo and Cafe del mar etc aren't far away and the West End is a 2 minute walk.

The complex itself is in a quiet residential area.

Club Paraiso is a very good place to stay and is much better than some of the other dives in San Antonio Town eg Central Park

cheers

thanks for all the information. is the bar good in the hotel (cheap, open late etc). Have the rooms got air conditioning?! please say they have!

You can hire a fan.
No A/C.

The bars in the hotel were ok and there was entertainment laid on.
The West End is a 2 minute walk though and there are also a few quiet local cafe bars in the area which are dirt cheap eg €1.50 a pint of San Miguel. My next door neighbour (who is a skinflint merchant navy lad) sacked the bars in the West End in favour of getting plastered in the local cheap bars as he thought the West End was expensive. I think the West End is pretty cheap compared to some of the prices i pay at home.

The pain in the bum thing is they won't take cash over the counter. You have to use a top up card like you would use at an all inclusive hotel. Basically you put money on it at reception and they swipe it at the bar, a way of keeping you there.
They also no longer take credit/debit cards in Club Paraiso and you have to pay a €60 security deposit in cash on arrival.
For your beer etc in your room go to the supermarket down the hill from Club Paraiso as the 1 in the hotel itself is expensive. The supermarket down the hill will take your debit/credit card but will ask for extra id as well, seems they've been getting bumped by credit card fraud.

cheers

thanks for all your help! anybody else got any more views on the hotel? also sorry for all the questions getting abit excited even though its ages away...how far is the complex from all the big clubs like space etc..

Its close to the bars in the West End and about a 10 minute walk to Es Paradis and Eden. Amnesia and Privelige are in the middle of nowhere on the main road between San Antonio and Ibiza Town, you'll need to get a bus or taxi or the disco bus to them.

Hey...

Me and 2 of my mates stayed in this hotel in September! Overall its a wicked hotel...everything u need is no more than a 10 minute walk away!

One tip 4 ya though....do not go swimming in the pools after 8 o'clock! The security guards aint afraid on fining you...as me and my mate bout found out! 30 euros they got of us 4 that!!!!

Anywayz....hope u have a wicked time!

I stayed there at the end of August this year, its a wicked place to stay - its a 5 min walk to the sunset strip and about a 5 min walk to the west end !!

The hotel has a wicked party atmosphere, music is played from about 12pm till 12am and they have some pre parties there too!!

There is a late bar that opens till 2am

You'll have a wicked time!! :D

sounds good

im sure i will have a wicked time, now ive just got to wait until next august, time is going to drag so badly!

Come on Ibiza experts what are the best nights out? i've been told to get drunk before i go out because it is that expensive in the big clubs, is that right!?

Also is the west end where those bar streets are or am i completely wrong?

Last one... .will £1000 be enough for 2 weeks?!

sorry about all the questions! ;) :P
Tom!

£1000 should be enough for 2 weeks but it depends on how many and what club nights you go to!!

In regards to the club nights - what kind of music you into?

erm i like alot of music really. Mainly dance/trance but also like r n b. ok i like everything except for cheesy pop and slipknot style music!

Looking to go a big club a few times a week

I was there from the 31st August to the 11th September and overall was quite impressed. Good security and service and the reps did us some really good deals on the nights as there were 17 of us.

Debs, you got a pic on here anywhere? There were 4 of us, all guys.

What part of the hotel did you stay in? Our room was on the bottom floor and looked onto the main pool

I haven't got a pic on here gonna try and get one up on here soon!! :D
I thought the Hotel was wicked espcially for the price that we paid!!

The only thing was it was way too hot - could have definatly done with Air Con!!

Yeah completely agree, we woke up every morning dripping in sweat

They could have done with changing the cd's now and again to, and not pumping it out at 10am when we're trying to get to sleep ;)

arghhhh.... this was the other option on the allocation on arrival deal we booked. they sent two old folks in front of us to this hotel and we got sent to a dive in the bay :(

i did manage to get a glimpse of the hotel as i walked some bird home one night. unfortunately security is very good cause they wouldnt let me in without ID. bastardos!!!
