Cant believe how dirty

it's the same every year at this time of the season.

it doesnt look like that in june so you do the math!

even my parents who usually stay on the other side of the island commented on how nice they found san an early in the year!

Your probably right. Although I think for the price of the drinks along the Sunset Strip they should keep there area clean all year round. The strip was very dissapointing this year.

the west end and beach was like that but i thought the strip was in pretty good nick.

was particularly impressed by kasbah. went there on our last night for a meal and the food was superb. slightly dearer than the others for food but it had the feeling of a proper restuarant compared to the other sunset bars.

i think people should use the bins instead of throwing rubbish everywhere..........

I think people should get on the spot fines (or castrated) for dropping litter.

How can people visit somewhere so beautiful and then just want to make it ugly due to their sheer laziness? I ended up picking up rubbish around Bora Bora last week just as I was so disgusted by all the empty bottles everywhere.

retarded people stumbling around and throwing beer bottles into the walls etc. I just wish EVERYONE had a little more respect for the island, the environment and OTHER PEOPLE!
and some people still wonder why the neighbours of bora bora started complaining!!

i find that the resorts i.e. san an, and pdb always look very old, tatty, and dirty, whenever i go.

That's why I prefered Figueretes.

It was so sad walking along the beach to PDB last week when the sea was so choppy and it had brought in so much rubbish onto the sand.

That's why I like to go in June :D PdB was pretty clean when we were there this year.

I also don't understand how people could litter on the island... I make sure not to leave even a single cigarette butt on the beach. I don't see it even so much as a matter of respect for the island or nature or other people, but an important example of a little think called "personal responsibility".

The rocks outside Cafe del Mar were filthy with litter back in the 1st week in July when we went. We saw people of all nationalities leaving plastic bags, beer bottles etc all over the place  . In stark contrast, Kanya was the cleanest we went to at that time. Even coastline (which I remember to have been pretty spotless in previous years) was looking a little tatty and grubby this year.

well if one has the choise between noticing the beauty of the island and noticing the rubbish around, i know i´d definately be staring towards the sun and not towards the ground where rubbish tendt to lay ;)

I've always found San Antonio to be pretty clean all things considered eg the british press lager lout image etc.
If you're out and about in the West End at 7/8 O'Clock in the morning the cleaners from all of the bars are out swilling the streets as well as the bars to keep the place clean.

Places like Cala Bassa and Cala Comte were always spotless when i've been and i can't say i found Ibiza Town to be dirty either.

Anyhow, its my first trip to Ibiza as a parent next week so we are staying in Port des Torrent rather than San Antonio Town. I've been told its a 10 minute walk into San Antonio Bay and obviously a short bus/water taxi ride into the town to show the little one the fountains and lights next to the arts and crafts stalls rather than a drink in the West End.

Hopefully it will still be as clean as i always remember it to be.

Clubbers are generally a mucky lot ... just look at the dancefloor of all clubs for bottles, glasses, eaten chewing gum (ergh) at the end of the night.

Ibiza unfortunalty gets treated the same way. It's disgusting.

Know what you mean about rubbish.

Our last sunset Sat 18/09 we sat on yellow back wall at Kanya that looks out onto rocks, it was disgusting, rubbish, nub ends, bottles, glasses, etc.

It really doesn't take too much shoe leather to walk to a bin ppl

Fair play to the street cleaners in San An, they have a momentous job to do everyday from May to September.

Not forgetting the shit that was on the pavement on one particular street, known to me and Sarah quite simply as 'Shit Street' during our 2 week stay at a horrible hotel near the egg in San An.
