Can you Ibiza Pro's help out an Ibiza virgin please

hi i have a couple of questions that i have been trying to research but i have been overwhelmed with the amount of info online so im just gonna ask you pros out there.

Im going to ibiza this summer for the first time and I am going for the clubbing, the gay bars and all that arent really my style, so ive been trying to find an apartment to rent somewhat in the center somewhere so i could get to most of the big clubs easily. but the problem is that i have NO idea where that place would be.... so my question....

What city should i stay in to make it easy to get to the major clubs?

and does anyone have any recomendations regarding good, and fairly priced apartments?

i once booked an apartment online and it looked like a palace on the internet but when i got there i was sharing a bed with three mice for a week, so thats why im asking for a little bit of guidance...

any info would be helpful, hit me with ur knowledge 8)

the jet apartments in playa den bossa are apparently good. Great location. Next to space and bora bora. Close to ibiza town, which has many bars, along with pacha, and el-divino.

And about 30 mins drive from san antonio.

I've just come back from a stay at the Catalina apartments, above Savannah on sunset strip in San Antonio. I'd suggest its ideal for a first timer.

San An's West End is like Blackpool in the sun, but the sunset strip is really very nice. These apartments are clean and if you ask for a sea view when you book you can see a beautiful sunset each night from your balcony. Personally I think the San An clubs (Eden and Es Paradis) are crap, but they are walking distance away if you want to check them out. The bars on sunset strip and Bar M, along the coast a little but still only 5 mins are very good.

The other clubs are all but a bus ride away, even very late at night, when the 'Disco Bus' operates.

Daytime trips across the island are also cheap and the service is very reliable. A bus to Ibiza town from San An takes about 25 mins and is only 1.50 euros (about £1). Discovered just how reliable the service is when my girlfriend insisted on using it instead of getting cabs last week. Previously I've always paid 20-25 euros a pop to cross the island, and done that 7 or 8 times in a week - doh!

buses are indeed best way of travelling during the day - once you figured out where u can buy tickets!
