camera security at space

so yeah i know you're not allowed to take cameras into space. and i know that if they find your photographic device, they charge you 5 euros or something to keep it for you. that's not my question.

i just wondered if anyone who had done this, has had any problems getting their camera back at the end of the night. i may have imagined it but i'm sure i read on here last year or the year before that someone lost their expensive camera after checking it in at space.

i smuggled in a cheapo disposable camera last year, but i'm debating with myself whether to try and take my quality digital camera in this year.

I went to Space opening this year for the first time so was unaware of the camera policy.

You are still definitely NOT allowed a camera in there but the search isnt that thorough (the security found mine, but my mate walked in with his quite big digital camera in his pocket without a hitch)

Long story short......due to me leaving space during the night and not being allowed back in,:spank: my digital camera was left at Space for a week! I still managed to get it back fine at the end of the holiday though.....just had to make sure that I didnt lose the ticket....was pleasantly surprised really as I thought that it would be long gone..!

Just a side note; my mate was caught twice actually taking photos in Space and was warned that if he was caught again, the security would "take" his camera, read into this what you will......

This just means they make you put it in storage. I've heard that threat before as well.

Never had any problems with cameras at space.

Just smuggle it in (be imaginative  ) and be cautious when you are snapping away/filming ;)
