Busiest & emptiest club nights you've been to in recent years?

As the title says, what's the busiest night you've been to and what's the emptiest? I'll keep it to recent times, last 4/5 years.

For me the busiest was easily Elrow 2018 at Amnesia. I tend to go in the first week of August and this one was mental, on the terrace you had to physically move people out of the way as they were unable to move without leaning on to people themselves.
I see DC10 get a bad rep for rammed in nights but I've always found room once I've got by the people that choose to dance right in front of the doors, which then causes everyone else to end up doing the same, I wish they would actually go in and look for space rather than just behind wherever the person in front stops.

Emptiest night was probably Toolroom 2019, we entered pretty late at around 2:30 and the lowered part of the dancefloor in Eden was the only part that was full, behind it was completely empty other than about 30-40 people stood just at the top of the steps from the dancefloor, no garden action either as it was so empty. Abode the same year wasn't very busy either to be honest. I won't class the night we went in Es Paradis just because it was free and left after going to the toilet, within 2 mins 😂

Cocoon opening at amnesia about two or three years ago when it was going through that rough phase, was empty and no atmosphere

Both rooms open? How many people are we talking? The amount of people in a club really affects my mood, the music can be incredible but if there aren't many people there then I just wouldn't have a great night. I want to know that there are so many people in the garden i can speak to and stuff

Elrow closing at space is a joint first with my only time at a dc10 closing. The later is the only time I actually feared for my life in a club😳

Es paradise where there was more staff than punters lol

I think I’ve been fairly lucky with my visits.
Carl Cox in the last season on the Carola night was busy to the point of unable to move in the Discoteca.

I went to a Cream night in Amnesia I think and the stage was by the link door, on a night with Diplo & Skrillex i think and that was impossible. Wasn’t my choice but I’d made most decisions that week and it was just horrible to the point of feeling I was being crushed just going to the toilet. Didn’t help the security stood in pinch points to ‘stem the flow’

Quietest night was at Space. We meant to go to CR2 night , with Fedde Le Grande & someone else big from that electro era, except we got mugged off by a ticket seller and didn’t realise Space had split into 2 that night, and we had tickets for some terrible night with about 20 people in

I remember being in pacha for Tiesto in 2012 and I daren’t leave my spot and couldn’t even if I tried!

I feel bad for Es Paradis considering how beautiful the club is. They need a couple of solid nights to build their rep again.

My time at Elrow as mentioned was pretty much a case of some times you just have to ride it out. When you're having to force your way through a dancefloor that busy there are often points where you have no control over where you're heading 😂

I'm sorry but my desire to go to the garden to chat to everyone trumps any battle I may face to get out and back in 😂

Es Paradise just seem to have no marketing ability at all. If they just concentrated on one night and managed to interest people by paying for someone that has a following it would work, people would see what it is and tell others.

Yes defo has to have a good amount of people for nice vibe, not sure how many people there but it was two rooms open, went music on on the Friday it was busy then and on the Monday not very busy

Won't this be the same for all clubs when they finally open again? I suspect just about all of them will have to build up again - both with getting staff, booking DJs, figuring out the market (kind of people holidaying in Ibiza post-Corona, and when), how to communicate with them, getting their marketing up and running again, and putting this all together so it results in making money.

That means everyone will play only mainstream shit if they notice that 80 percent of the guests want to hear this.
Pleased not

You mean like when they turned Las Vegas into Disneyland? When Las Vegas switched from catering to hardcore gamblers and drinkers to instead going for the mainstream fat tourists who really should be on a cruise ship?

The ending of the movie Casino:

I could not of explained my take on things any different! Every example you listed would be mine!

Yes I think that’s partly true. But many of the other clubs already have a great rep and people will start flocking back as soon as they can , whereas Es Paradis hasn’t really pulled the crowds in recent years so I think they need to try even harder to ‘re-invent’ themselves.

Busiest - Cream PVD at Amnesia a few times we've walked out because it was uncomfortably busy. Possibly not knowing the best places to find space contributed

Quietest in Ibiza - not sure which night but was at Privilege. Enormous club that doesn't work with a few 100 in the main room.

However the worst was Christmas Eve 'Entertaylorment' in my home town around 10 years ago. No idea whos idea it was to put a Retro night on Xmas eve, no idea why we thought it would be a good idea to go. There were 5 of us in the club that at the time would regularly get a 1000 in. I said there is no way Paul Taylor can play this gig, we'd been in 15minutes after paying £10. The manager came around as Ben Taylor was playing and said we are shutting... They wouldn't give us the £10 back 😒 Said they'd be in touch about a guest list for the next event.... Still waiting for the call

I always go early.

Before it's shoulder to shoulder, the club is a different animal entirely. It's lonesome, but familiar and welcoming all the same. It's a little nostalgic because w/x everyone dancing on your toes you can remember all the things about clubbing you love, all the times you've been out before, other venues... And the reasons you love the music become abundantly clear; at least they do for me. I can get into the bass, or appreciate a filter sweep... LOL.

And when it's empty you can showcase that new dance move you've been working on.

For busy, both Tiesto and Infected Mushroom (which Randy can attest to as he was spinning, and he posts here) were pretty packed. Tiesto was really hip. Infected were at Exchange in downtown LA, and the sound was awful! I couldn't believe it. I couldn't hear the guitar worth a darn, so I packed up. Heard Seidman's set though - it was dope! Big ups to Randy for that.

I know what you mean - some of my best nights have been in there proper early as the night builds. Definitely hits the wallet with drinks but with a proper warm up set and as a club fills great experience.

notable nights like that were Adam Beyer & Ida all night long (not quite...) at ministry of sound on a lovely summers evening a few years back. And deadmau5 / Prydz SW4 after party at electric Brixton. We left SW4 quite early, went for some food and a very slow pint after hitting it hard and were in the first 20 in the club to what became a memorable night

Oh... EDC. I forgot. That party is SOO crowded. LOL. EDC Las Vegas. 2015...

It was notably warm. 112℉ (I don't know the Celsius well enough, but HOT, lol) as it is in Las Vegas. It must have been July or something... summer in the northern hemisphere.

And anyway... WOW! Talk about crowded! It was ridiculous. I left... LOL.

Ooft I forgot about Pikes bottlenecks. I don’t know whether it’s worse going through the wardrobe or down by the karaoke room 🤦🏻‍♀️
