Is it still (or was there ever) law that building work couldn't happen during the summer?
 
yes, heavy machinery is not allowed on building projects in tourist areas in the high season.
 
could do with a similar law in the UK based on time of day, not season, in order to stop workmen digging up the road @ 8am :twisted:

Stuie in my case it's still worst: they are building up a new building near me and they start works at 7am... including saturday :evil: :evil:

There are noise restrictions between certain hours, but, particularly with regard to utility works, these can be circumnavigated if the works are categorised as 'emergency works'.

They are in a rush cos they are supposed to finish in two weeks but I guess it will be another "mañana" thing ;) :lol: :lol:
