Tbh (and ppl can shoot me down for this ) but I've seen Gee lots of times in London and imo away from the hedonism and debauchery and sunshine of Bora Bora I find him a very average DJ in a 'normal' club and I definitely wouldn't go out my way to see him away from Bora Bora.

Does that make you feel any better

i love those words hedonism and debauchery. particulalry when they're juxtaposed to the words bora bora, a bar that reminds me so much of liverpool's famous bier keller in the 70's

I really enjoyed him at Heaven that time...the crowd and atmosphere in that top room was lovely and he beat the pants of Danny Tenaglia for me.

Do you think so, I just find him like any other average DJ away from Bora Bora. Gee + Bora Bora go hand in hand and bring out the best in each other imo but away from Bora Bora in a normal club I find him a bit commercial

I thought that too, thought him and Oliver Lang were great that night.

Even if it happened in Glasgow, I can't see it working. Bora Bora is all about Ibiza and the beach, so being indoors or somewhere where you stand a 50 50 chance of it raining isn't much fun.

A lot of the music they play at Bora Bora I wouldn't normally listen to, but it works so well due to the environment.

It's just Gee milking the Bora Bora brand... the music he plays isn't exactly the same as you'd find on the beach there.

In fact, I've seen him at a couple of differrent venues here and the sets he played were very much attuned to the environment. In one club, a more funky set, and in another he played a much deeper, more electro-fied, and eventually harder set.
