Received an email last night (just saw it at 7pm) claiming I had won £141,022! 8O They used the genuine National Lottery logo and address, etc. But being a cynic, didn't get my hopes up. Just been in contact with the genuine National Lottery and they said it is a hoax email they are currently investigating as they DO NOT contact people by email. Barstewards

Damn! ..........and I had the money spent already..........doh :lol:

PS Just had a followup email, they want a verification form filled in with name address, job, etc. and a scanned copy of driving license or other form of national identity...........and will send you some documents to sign. ATTEMPT AT IDENTITY THEFT!!! BEWARE!!!

What bastards!!

Hope you forwarded the second email to National Lottery for them to investigate???
They said this morning that they were already investigating them and didn't need any emails forwarding. ;) Hope they catch them.

I had that one about 6 weeks ago and reported it. I didn't post about it on here (or any other forums) because I thought only complete arse-wits fell for those sorts of things (sorry Les!).

Luckily I didn't fall for it but thought I'd better post it in case arse-wits would. :p
