Best Soundsystem in London?

London Bridge Station!!

:D

You can always hear the platform changes & cancellations even over the sickening screech of the rusty train wheels!!!!

Ministry closely followed by Fabric then the End i reckon....unless any other clubs have new ones lately?

Only messin, knew what you meant really.

MOS was good on the one time I went ;)

Always remember the Hac soundsysyem would go funny, it kind of added to the "rawness" of it all? :?

Buckley, remember Andy, the guy with the beard who was with Tim at Es Vive? I asked him this very question and he said MOS - I would take that as the definitive answer, despite the fact he looked liked a roadie for ZZ Top ;)

Info on MoS's thang

Company who designed and built it - Gary Stuart Audio. Have a look at their site, other systems/clubs they've designed is like a who's who of the most famous/best clubs in the world...Dischoteque NYC, Sound factory NYC, Vinyl NYC, etc...

http://www.gsany.com/

From their site about MoS

"GSA designed and installed the entire system in this renowned night club in 1992 and upgraded it in '96. The system is widely regarded as being the world-wide benchmark by which all other night clubs are measured. Sound is provided by six huge custom-designed GSA speaker stacks capable of producing sound up to 160 decibels (a jet engine produces 140 decibels at a distance of 100 feet).

Sound and Video Contractor said in April, 1997: "London's world renowned night club, Ministry of Sound, is certainly no exception in the trendsetter department. The often emulated super club recently underwent a major overhaul of its main room furthering Ministry's worldwide status as a benchmark in the entertainment industry." Nodd McDonagh, General Manager of Ministry of Sound, begins, "When we decided to move forward with the new project it was apparent that our system was wrapped in such cloaks of mystery it was difficult for us to determine what was legend and what was fact. Between our technical audio team and GSA, the firm that had designed and installed the original system, we dramatically improved the overall audio quality and reliability of the system."

Since then they've upgraded/over-hauled it agian as well a couple of years ago...

Never been to Ministry but know whats in it and have had many conversations with people who know their stuff - That is one immense system.

I was impressed by the Funktion1 in heaven when I went last year, apparently they've upgraded it since then as well.
