Best period to visit Ibiza?

Yep

I have been to Ibiza several times before but only in the May & June timeframe. My experience is that in this period the clubs where crowded but there was still enough room to "move". And there was always a good mixture of men & women. I specifically liked the early-June periods.

This year, we plan on visiting Ibiza in late July or August. However, I heard several stories that in this timeframe, the clubs will be packed-to-the-max and overwelmed with guys. Appearently, this results in a quite different atmosphere in June vs. August...

Can anyone comment on this and would you recommend to go in July or (late) August in that case?

Never been in may or june but end of august start of september is a good bet! Its a good mix and too be honest without offending anyone there's less idiots about..

If I have a choice I go mid June and mid September. At these times the island is lively, everything is open but you feel you have a bit of space to chill if you need it.

Also I think that the people who visit at this time are of a slightly different mindset.

I realise its a generalisation but they tend to more open, accepting and willing to take in the island and not just ram as much English lager and burgers down there necks as they can while watching Only Fools and Horses reruns on the TV. :)

This year due to work commitments its mid July and early August.

It is far busier and more hectic but there are still places to grab some peaceful contmplation time if thats your aim.
