Best night in Pacha?

yea thats the only night i have ever went to in Pacha when I go to Ibiza but I was thinking maybe one of the other nights might be better and worth giving a go

That was actually Friday! Brain is still a bit slow, you could try subliminal but it is quite expensive at 60 euros a ticket

IMO

Monday - Release Yourself - Rog always delivers the goods, don't expect anything groundbreaking musically but will keep you dancing all night and good crowd :D

Tuesday - Defected - would rather stick pins in my eyes than go to this  Altho if they've got a decent guest like Krivit or Kenny Dope then worth going to.

Wednesday - Subliminal - had it's day imo, also gets ridiculously busy and quite a few nobs around

Thursday - Deep Dish or Ministry - my faves, quality music, great crowd there for the music :D

Friday - Pure Pacha - line-ups aren't as strong as they were a couple of years ago for most weeks altho there is a couple of tasty line-ups, worth checking out if the line-up is good, expect it to be rammed and a lot of people who are just there cos it's Pacha and a Friday night.

Saturday - Def Mix - good line-ups but as Friday crowd is mainly full of people there cos it's Pacha at a wkend so can be quite flat.

Sunday can't comment cos Sunday is Space day/night.

I concur with Barbie on everything...

except to say that you needn't blind yourself as Defected have some good DJs appearing like the aforementioned Dope and Krivit, as well as Solveig, Rivera, Gregory.

Sanchez and Deep Dish are easily tied for two of the best club nights I've had this year.

although Sunday is now Sander K who is ace- just depends on how many people he manages to lure away from Space.

Tenaglia also has two nights on a sunday at pacha. his first night was in june. Not sure when his next one is. aug maybe?

I've been to:

Def Mix with David Morales: I expected more of Mr.Morales. Had several old sets from him playing over hours with 4 turntables (or 2 turnies and 2 cd-players). In this sets atleast 1 track and 1 accapella were banging over the PA. At Pacha he only used some accapellas, just like other DJs do it. The night was very crowded though.

Release Yourself with Roger Sanchez: The S-Man played more Ibiza stylee and tribalistic. The night was not as crowded (you had enough room to dance) but the people who where there had fun. I heard also better sets from Mr.Sanchez, but the sound was allright and atleast almost as I expected it.

Defected with Junior Jack & Kid Creme: Definately the best night for housemusic lovers! Banging sets wih some funky or jazzy tunes (Morales and Sanchez did only play very few funky stuff the whole evening) and some good old classics in the morning hours. Pacha was crowded as hell, people were like jumping on the dancefloor, screaming and smiling to the music.

If you are more into real progressive sound, techhouse and that stuff you maybe should go with Barbie's advices! But I if it is like that I give you the advice not to go to Pacha at all. Save some money by visiting Space, Privilege (Sinners), Amnesia (Cocoon) or even OM Records at El Divino.

Really depends I think on guest dj's and so...

Could be either (in order):

- Yoshitoshi
- Release Yourself
- Pure Pacha
- F*ck Me I'm Famous

This would be my pick too JJ & KC with Joey Negro and Babs doing her thing on 30th Aug....we are only going for out there for one night...and what a night to choose :D

In the past have enjoyed Def Mix and Subliminal but heard they are all a bit tough and samey these days, thats not what Pacha is about in my opinion....never been to a Friday night but heard its full of English peeps which again wouldnt make me wanna go

Yeah, Def Mix and Subliminal are tougher and more techy. I definately have to agree that Pacha is a funky house club and I'm not that keen on hearing techhouse in that location.

It depends on the DJs though. Subliminal in August could be quite good. But e.g. July the 2th Josh Wink played at the Subliminal party and acid or techhouse is not really Pacha music!

But if you want to be sure that real house music is played go to the Defected night! Another plus is the percussion add-on by Shovell

Pacha always used to have more diverse line-ups, it's only in the last couple of years they've gone down the 'safe', same old same old funky house sound.

The original Renaissance nights on Weds, Perfect on Tues were as far away from funky house as you could get and suited Pacha down to a tee. Now they tend to stick with the 'safe' option which is a shame imo and doesn't bring any diversity to the club.

that is not a nice thing to say.  where u from?

I am English  Perhaps my comments were taken out of context ...let me explain

The english people bothering to read stuff on this forum aren't the ones I am talking about its the San an crowd that gives us a bad name that I was refering to. Besides if you gonna be in Ibiza, you want a cosmopolitan crowd, loads of Italians etc I think it adds to the vibe.

As for the diversity agreed but I like Funky/soulful house and I like Pacha, think the defected nights fit much there better than El Divino.

In that order:

Subliminal
Release Yourself
Pure Pacha
Def Mix

Take into consideration that i haven't been yet to Defected, F*ck Me I'm Famous, Yoshitoshi or Everybody.

Don't like Pacha

It's like a gigantic restaurant, too many snobs and too many old people

Space p*sses all over it
