Berlin Love Parade

Gutted!!! :cry: thats a shame! and to make it even worse theres no I Love Techno Outdoor stage 2004 either
 
i heard it was cancelled...something to do with finances...but how?
I thought the whole point was it being free, and not costing very much whatsoever?
 
hm - sofar we´ve had this sort of talk (LP not going to happen bc of costs) for several years. And funny enough, suddenly there´s a solution and everyone is happy.

Regardsless, lots of things are going to happen that weekend:

- LoveRadio by Fritz from Friday 18:00 to Sunday 20:00 (with Westbam, PvD etv)
- Love From Above on Friday happens (Paul van Dyk, Tiesto etc)
- Lovebase on Saturday will happen

and all the other planned parties too.

So... we´ve booked our rooms MONTHS ago - Berlin, we are there as always!

yes.

there is another "demonstration" planned for saturday, with music and floats, as replacement for the loveparade.

but... I´m still convinced that Loveparade is going to happen.

The local council would pay for the clean up operation until 2 or 3 years ago as it was classed as a demonstration, but when the organisors became a company the whole thing was classed as a profitable run thing, which meant the costs went to them instead. I heard a rumour of about 900,000 Euro roughly to clean the place.
 
There are rumours in Germany, that the Loveparade will take place on the July 10th. The local council speaks with the Loveparade Organiser.
