Rory Graham aka Rag 'N' Bone Man is a Brighton-based singer who has toured with Bastille in the past and repeated for their dates in the Balearics. He has released a couple of EPs as a solo artist (Bluestown - 2012 and the recent Wolves - 2014) and another one in collaboration with the Hip Hop MC and producer Leaf Dog (Dog 'N' Bone - 2013).

Graham's powerful and distinctive Blues voice captured our attention from the first moment. Accompanied by a drummer and with some pre-recorded bits, he demonstrated his talent on songs like the opener "Reuben's Train" or the excellent "Lay My Body Down". He was joined on stage by the rapper Stig Of The Dump (who reminded us that the music we were listening was available for free download) during the songs "Hell Yeah", "Rising Sun" (his peculiar version of the Folk classic "House Of The Rising Sun", made famous by The Animals) and the awesome "Wolves".

His brand of Blues with a dose of Hip Hop, where old and new collide, was a great start of the evening!

Bastille debuted at Ibiza Rocks last year and we were amazed by how good the songs from their debut album Bad Blood sounded live and especially by Dan Smith's flawless vocals and charisma. Since then their album has been reissued as All This Bad Blood (with a second CD featuring a lot of extra material) and to promote it they released as a single the song "Of the Night" (a mash-up of Corona's "The Rhythm Of The Night" and Snap's "Rhythm Is A Dancer"). Also, they won the BRIT award for best breakthrough act and performed at the ceremony along with last week's headliners Rudimental a fab mash-up of "Pompeii" and "Waiting All Night" (with Ella Eyre too, who we'll be seeing in three weeks). The London group has been working on their sophomore album in between tour dates and last night we had the chance to hear one of the new songs.

After the Twin Peaks theme song, which they use as an intro, the show started with "Bad Blood", "Weight Of Living, Pt. II" and "Laura Palmer" played with the precision of a machine. It continued with songs like "Overjoyed", "Things We Lost In The Fire" or "Icarus" and also a few selections from the extended album All This Bad Blood, including "The Silence" and "The Draw" among others. "No Angels" (a mash-up of "No Scrubs" by TLC and "Angels" by The XX, taken from the mixtape Other People's Heartache, Pt. 2 - 2012) was played too, followed by the brand new tune "Blame". Like it happened last year, Dan left his bandmates to sing "Flaws" on top of the wall at the right of the stage and then walked through the crowd to the delight of the crowd. They saved for the encore "Of the Night" (with a sit down and a brief appearance from Rag 'N' Bone Man) and the infectious single "Pompeii" to finish in the best way possible.

A night of sing-a-longs a-plenty and many goosebumps moments... epic!
