Hiya

My and my missus are heading to Barcelona and Madrid in a couple weeks, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any decent clubs at either or :?:

We're mostly into House of any kind, but a spot of breaks or tech could be good 8)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give ;)
Cheers,
Tim

Silvia's your ladieeee on all things Barcelona but she's on hols at the moment. If you do a search for Barcelona there'll be loads of posts where she's advised the best clubs to go to.

don't think... it WILL ;)

Haven't experienced Madrid but Barcelona is like London, Ibiza and Amsterdam all rolled into one... Heaven.

Valencia meself next week... can't wait

Hola,

For any info about Madrid I suggest you to post in the Spanish Forum, doesn't mind if you don't speak spanish. Some of our local members will be pleased to help :D

Thanks silvia, Tim's away in La Coruna now (lucky thing!) and I'm flying out to meet him on Thursday. We're off to Barcelona on Monday, then Madrid.

I posted a message in the Spanish forum, but sadly no reply  ... Is there anywhere in Barcelona you could recommend for finding out what's on when we're there - flyers etc? Or any websites?

Can't wait to get out there!! :)

Thanks

Joy Eslava and Kapital in Madrid are AWESOME! Here's some pics I found:

I epsecially recommend Joy Eslava... one of my most awesome nights in Madrid. Kapital is great too, but it is SOOO big, you can get lost hahhaa. Pacha was nice too, but pretty expensive.

Didn't really do much clubbing in Barcelona, mainly sight seeing... ask Sil! -xoxo PG 8)

Well... my friends from Madrid talk $hite about Joy Eslava, Kapital or Pacha Madrid. They say they're way too posh, and Kapital is full of youngsters. Moreover they don't use to get good line-ups. They're not aimed for clubbers IMO but for famous and rich people.

The clubs with best reputation in Madrid are these:

Space of Sound, the best after-hours superclub I've ever seen talking about lights, sound, layout..., simply amazing! It's on Sundays from 10am to 20pm at the club Macumba, at Chamartin railstation. Not to be missed!

The Room, People, Deep, Danzoo and Coppelia 101 are very popular too among clubbers.

If you like alternative/underground clubbing, the best choices are: Low Club, Rubble, Mondo, Nasti or Week-End.

As for Barcelona, the most popular options are:
Discotheque, La Terrrazza (they had some license problems or with neighbours or something and I'm not sure if it's open though), Danzatoria, Souvenir (after-hours), Razzmatazz, Space, Salsitas.

Alternative clubbing in Barcelona: The Loft, Nitsa, Moog, City Hall, Fellini.

Check out this website and you'll get more information. There's even a forum with a section in English:

Thank you both! I shall look up these clubs and see what I can find. Space of Sound sounds pretty good! So checking out there and maybe somewhere a bit more alternative too in Madrid as we are there over the weekend. We are looking for somewhere a bit more Spanish and a bit less touristy!

I'll follow up on those Barcelona ideas too - unfortunately we're there Monday to Friday and it seems the weekends are the bigger nights. Looks like we might find something on the Thursday though for big clubs, maybe something more alternative earlier in the week! 8)

We were in Valencia last September and absolutely loved it! It's a beautiful city. :)

Thanks!

Linsey we went to Fellini on NYE last year and loved it, very electro-y and very Spanish, very few tourists in there and everyone was really friendly, would def recommend it :D

Oh dear! I've just looked up all the clubs suggested and it looks like there's stuff on every single night that I want to go to! Help! 8O

Fellini looks amazing! Sorry for all the :!: but I'm very excited!

I've never been to Barcelona or Madrid so very much looking foward to going. I'm a bit of a newby - first time in Ibiza last year and went again in June - went to Penelope's for opening night of Dirty which was awesome - totally what we were looking for in terms of local interest and few tourists (although as a tourist I can't really comment!). Hopefully we'll make the same type of thing in Barcelona and Madrid.

Will let you know what we get up to! :)

I'm excited for you :!: :D

We went for first time last New Year and I've never fell so in love with a city as I did Barcelona (altho Sil has to take a lot of credit for that for being Spotlight's Official Barcelona Tourist Guide ;) and recommending/taking us to lots of places that we wouldn't have gone to).

We're going again in Jan for my 30th and I CANNOT wait.

Well I certainly got told, didn't I

LOL Just kidding, you would know much better than I would! I must say though I didn't get the overly posh feeling from Joy Eslava, yet was overwhelmed with the warm reception I got there. Wasn't paying attention to the lineup at all, for we stopped in Madrid on our way to Ibiza where we knew all eight days were going to be flooded with top acts :P

We did end up leaving Pacha quite early however because the drink prices were astronomical and noses in the air plentiful.

Yes, what you likely can find in Joy Eslava or Pacha Madrid is glamour, but not a real clubbing feeling. If you want, next time try those other places I've mentioned. I'm sure you'll enjoy them more. :)
