the holocaust is incomprehensible to anyone who didn't live through it and the reasons why it happened are just as impossible to understand unless you were caught up in that bubble.

while her actions were, of course, inexcusable, its impossible to judge them without having fully experienced the cumulative radicalisation that was taking place in germany during that period.

Indeed - millions of ordinary people collabarated in genoicide - they can´t all have been inherently evil. Thank god we´re not the position they were put in.
