Following on from the success of the Paul van Dyk party held at Gatecrasher Seven over Easter Bank Holiday, Gatecrasher have announced they will be delivering several arena style shows featuring some of the world’s top DJs in the intimate surroundings of their £0.5 million newly refurbished venue in Leeds city centre over the summer of 2009.
The first event over the summer months kicks off on Saturday 23rd May, with the world’s number one DJ, Armin van Buuren back to headline after his astounding performance at Gatecrasher’s 15th Birthday. Voted the Number one spot in two consecutive years, Armin will be delivering one of his euphoria induced sets, which he is now become notorious for and have helped him retain one of the DJs top accolades, in this one-off special intimate gig for Gatecrasher clubbers.
Joining Armin will be one of Europe’s most established and respected dance acts, Rank 1. Responsible for dance floor destroyers such as ‘Airwave’, ‘Awakening’ and ‘Life Less Ordinary’ to name a few, these tracks have cemented the duo’s place in the Trance music’s hall of fame and within the hearts of the Gatecrasher crowd.
After wowing clubbers at Gatecrasher The White Party 2008, Simon Patterson will be back to wow the crowd at this bank holiday event. As a DJ, he is without doubt one of the hottest properties in dance music right now. His creative offerings as a producer have captured audiences, bringing them willing with him along his musical adventure. From techy moods to edgey riffs, spin tingling melodies to driving basslines, Simon’s studio offspring’s of the past 12 months have raised his profile to see him become a much in-demand dj, producer and remixer.
On warm up duty will see head honcho down at Digital Society, Kane Nelson debuting at Crasher. Fast known as one of the most exciting up and coming DJs on the scene, Kane has also been a dedicated follower of Gatecrasher and states their events inspired him to play the solid trance style in which Digital Society regulars have come to know and love, and will be a very welcome addition to this already colossal Bank Holiday line up.
Downstairs in Bed will play host to Digital Society in association with Enhanced Recordings, a Leeds based club night which will see it moving from its regular home at Myhouse for this special one off event. Already causing a stir within Leeds and beyond will be residents Will Holland, Paul Pearson and Rav Takhar, joined also by Estiva for a UK debut and Temple One.
Since Gatecrasher Seven re-launched last April, the club has exceeded all expectations with it’s awe inspiring light and laser shows, state of the art sound system and mesmerizing visuals encapsulated amongst the luxurious surroundings of this Gatecrasher trademark venue.
