I travelled through london this afternoon

it's amazing how many 'new' chelsea fans have suddenly appeared.

I'm a relatively "new" fan, but so what? I'm not fairweather... in it for good now.
Pretty insipid this idea of the relative coolness of supporter related to length of time he/she has been a fan. Reminds me of when I was a punk teenager and we would turn up our noses at "new" fans of an alt-rock band after they got more popular.

In any case, I'm sure the majority of people in Fulham today are long-term supporters. For many, it's a dream come true. 8)
 
It is funny though that for the next few days, London is gonna be full of people wearing chelsea tops. its like it's ok to be seen with them on at the moment.

new/fairweather fans? any team that gets success encourages the less dedicated fans shout about it (not you Morbyd).

you dont get too many people banging on about how they are great brentford supporters for example.

enjoy it while it lasts (which may be a while, unfotunately)
 
I read it this morning. Good stuff from super Frankie. The thing that makes Chelsea so great is that the players (Frank, Joe Cole, John Terry, Arjen, Alexei Smertin, etc) are all genuinely nice guys. good people. :)
 
One thing that annoys me even though i don't support them is the amount of world class players that the Hammers have lost of the last two or three years...must be really gutting for them and their fans. Hopefully they'll be back in the Prem next season though!
 
Me, Tom and Jamie went after Ministry and a few Lucozades 8O :lol: Was lots of fun, a really good atmosphere :D Tom has currently got a blow up trophy in our bedroom :roll: :lol:

I'm jealous! The missus was whining all day yesterday.. "why aren't we there!" :evil:

Though I did just see the UEFA Cup today :D
