Hi,
At last I'm travelling to Ibiza this year between Monday the 19th and Tuesday the 27th July. As it's my first time (well, I actually went when I was 12 with the parents, but that's a different story), I'm understandably trying to find answers to all my questions before I go! Doubtful that it'll happen - but worth a try! Here I go:
1) I'm staying with two of my clubbing friends in an apartment in Port Des Torrent (v cheap, nice and get our own room - luxury, lol!). Does anyone know this area? Easy to get to and from San An and Ibiza Town? One more, if I were to go to Ibiza Town, would it be easier/cheaper to go to San An first and then catch the Disco Bus to Ibiza Town?
2) How much money will I need? I know this is a really open ended question, but basically I'll be going clubbing every night (no point in going to bars in my opinion, can do that here!), but buying and drinking my beer from the shops during the day. I'll be rationing my drinks (water or alcohol) when inside the clubs. Is it going to be around £80 a day?
3) We're planning on popping into space for a few hours before our flight leaves at 2am on the night of the 27th, where Carl Cox is DJing on his birthday, but is there anywhere we can keep our luggage? Don't fancy spending my remaining Euros on a taxi to the aprtment and then back to the airport. We don't have transfers from the apartment, so no free taxi style service to pick our bags up either!
4) This is the big one... where we're plannig on going. We're trying to mix it up a bit and please all three of us (similar tastes, but we prefer different things). Here's what I've drawn up so far - anything i should avoid, or definitely go to?
Monday: Arriving at 2, so will probably hit San An by around 4. Planning on going to DJ Sammy @ Es Paradis (I know, I know, but would rather miss hours of this than miss bits of Manumission)
Tuesday: Carl Cox @ Space, Armada @ Amnesia or DJ Sammy @ Es Paradis (Cox first, Armada Second. DJ Sammy only if we don't go Monday, and we can definitely leave our luggage somewhere on the last Tuesday in order ot see Cox at Space then instead!)
Wednesday: Meganite @ Pacha (Mauro Picotto - love him!), Subliminal @ Pacha or Foam Party @ Amnesia (Is the foam party going to be full of decent people, or a bunch of, um, unsavoury characters?)
Thursday: Cream @ Amnesia (No contest)
Friday: Dave Pearce & Slinky @ Eden (Going here because one of my friends has a Slinky fetish)
Saturday: Defmix @ Pacha or Matinee @ Space (Gotta choose between Morales with house or funky house!)
Sunday: Judgement Sunday @ Eden (Again, one of my friends has a Julesy fetish, but I'm not complaining because the night that we would go Lisa Lashes is the guest.)
Monday: Manumission @ Privilege (Possibly do the carry on if not totally out of it by this point in the holiday!)
Tuesday: Either Space (if luggage can be left somewhere) or simply bars in either San An or Ibiza Town.
