ROADHOUSE (Global Underground UK)
Super-slinky stuff from GU's rising stars, this is definitely the deep house
connoisseur's choice for the month. Obvious standout cuts like 'Wilmot
Street' and 'Leftorium' (Beatport¹s Deep House Track of the Year '08) would
win anyone over but delve, um, deeper and you'll find so much more the
plink-plonk electro pop of 'Are We All Together' (with Justin Robertson
providing Bernard Sumner-esque vocals), the haunting, heavenly horn riff of
proggy house stunner 'Minimalize', the big chords and sonic melancholy of
'The Piano'...all polished off with exquisite doses of old school electro,
slippery tech-funk and, most surprisingly, the thunderous mainroom
digitalism of 'The Mash'. Wow. Melodic, spaced and soulful in all the right
ways, Chawla & Anderson have set the standard for ¹09 already.

Amazing album, well done chaps. A cupie doll for anyone who can name all of the simpson references in the titles!
