Am off to amsterdam on the 16th of April for the weekend can anyone recommend any clubs, rules etc or any good websites for line ups for that weekend.
 
Just got back from the 'Dam!

www.escape.nl - amazing club on a sat night

also SOL club
iT club
Supperclub (which is a bar)

and on the filth side

bananabar
cassa rosso

we stayed at the grand hotel krasnapolsky which was amazing.
 
Yeah we are staying at the Le Meridien Apollo-which I understand is a little bit out of the action but 30 quid each a night so cant complain and the public transport is supposed to be spot on- I have read that it is hard to ge tin to clubs if you have a british accent and if you are just lads-there is only 2 of us so should that be ok-waht type of music is at escape?
 
Escape is house on sats, different each week. Last week it was kind of techy/deep and REALLY good MY gf dosnt really like house apart from the fluffy hed kandi kind but she loved it. Plus escape has an amazing sound system. check their site it tells you everything.

Never had a problem getting in, just be polite. Tipping bouncers on way out is also a good idea.

Wow looks like we have chosen a great weekend as was looking on a house website that says that HedKandi will also be in town-went to their NYE event which was fantastic so what do I do? Help!!
 
wouldnt bother with hed kandi, you can go to that any time accross the uk.

armin would be good if you like trance i guess!

or i'd go escape,iT or SOL
 
Thats just the thing-am from jersey so dont really get the option to see them at any time-besides my mate is more in to house so would prob prefer them-would prefer van buuren myself though. Where exactly is he playing Martine Amsterdam and are there any decent bars to go before hand- and how far is our hotel from all the action....so many questions!!! Although just checked out the chemistry website and looks like a great night...but what about my friday and sunday!!!!
 
i'd do one night exploring the red light, sex shows, strip bars etc, one night (sat) at a club and one night at supperclub bar, which is relaxed and cool (sun).

As for bars, try the bars around the leidsplein (sp!) square.
 
Cheers thanks for the help-cant wait-we were thinkin of watching Ajax on the sun but that may depend on a whole load of factors!!!!

Redlight district is a thing to experiance too ! :lol: 8O :lol:

Armin solo is on a boat! Departure is in Amsterdam, and the boat returns the docks at 5.00.

I wouldn't reccomend Chemistry, only on thurseday it's great! When Rush is on.
Nice clubs are Hotel Arena, Mazzo, It or the XL.
In the center there lot's of nice bars, loungebars etc.
I'm sure you'll have a great time!! :)

Hahaha me not liking house?! What a joke! :lol: Check my partyschedule! ;)
If you red well.....I said I wouldn't reccomend it on a vriday, or saturday night. The atmosphere is just not the same, as when Rush is on! But that's just my opinion! ;)
 
Fair enough, i've been on a fri (didnt like it) and a sat and both times on sat it was really good :) Maybe i didnt pick up so much on the atmosphere as i was just listening to the music (which was really good, esp last sat) and dancing with my gf.
 
Has anyone been to the Melkweg?

We are planning to go on a friday at the start of April for Emmerson, Todd Terry and Felix da housecat.

Any reviews, tips, whats it like getting in?
