A non-clubbers guide to ibiza?

Were off to the white island in 5 weeks. Now most of the reviews are from clubbers etc who have had great times and can;t wait to return to 'heaven'. Myself and my wife are not really clubbers, we enjoy a few drinks (ok maybe quite a lot) and a little dance etc. I know some of you might be saying why have you booked to go to Ibiza if your not a into clubbing?

Honest answer is, I have read so many great reviews on Ibiza it would be insane not to try it and also, so many people say there is so much more to the island. I personally have never been abroad so I am really excited. I used to go to a few clubs back when I was a student but i've settled down now. When we go to Ibiza - there is a 'We Love Space' closing down party on the Sunday so were thinking of giving it a whirl to taste the 'Ibiza Experience'.

Just wondering what non-clubbing experiences people have had?

By the sounds of it, I will be coming back a Ibiza Animal.

there are hundreds of excellent restaurants, dozens of pretty villiages, excellent coves and beaches, caves, museums etc etc.

check out the rest of this site i reckon is your best bet.

btw, Space may well change your life ;)

On our trip last year we only had 2 club nights.. the rest of the time was spent basically with lots of eating, drinking vodka limon in Ibiza Town or San An Bay, relaxing on the beaches, visiting formentera and just generally relaxing.

Its a lovely place as it is informal and very welcoming. Its nice to have the clubs right on your doorstep if you want them, but its not be and end all of the island. If you like going for a little dance.. you may find the clubs like El Divino and Pacha worth a trip out. If your not a big dance music fan, they may be easier to handle than the big hard house\trance nights.

Also the Rough Guide is a pretty useful guide for your trip - gives you details from the history to where to find a go-kart track. Of course.. there's tons of info on here too.. ;)

Agree with sticky. We lived off the rough guide last year (our first trip) we didnt do a single club night and had such a fantastic time that we went back this year for 2 weeks and are def going back next year again. Make a list of the things/places you want to do, but dont be surprised if you dont get through it! Above all, have an amazing time (theres no way you wouldnt!)

non club

me my missus and our 6yr old have been for the last two years and not done any clubnights, although we did drag the little lad to mambos for pete tong and the sunset this year.

theres loads to do in ibiza apart from clubbing.

Definitely buy a copy of the Rough Guide to Ibiza. (Written by forum member Stingray aka Iain Stewart.)

I never realised it was him who wrote it! It's an incredible guide. I have loads of the Rough Guide series and it's definitely one of the best.

(I currently have it in my bathroom as toilet reading to get me in the mood! )

although a big part for most on here clubbing is actually a small part of ibiza.

buy yourself a good travel guide from any good bookshop and set off exploring dalt villa, eivissa, the island of formentera, all the lovely beaches, places to eat, catch magnificent sunsets and soak up some culture.

it's all there if you can see past the bright lights of the main resorts.

enjoy...

We have been to Ibiza about 25 times and have yet to visit a club - nothing against them but just not our scene.
Plenty pf photos of restaurants, bars and beaches on my site and I will try and help with any queries you don't get answered on here.

There was a hike that was meant to take 45 minutes and ended up taking 3hours

I'm assuming this refers to the walk from PDB to salinas? We noticed that too!
