West End Closing Time

Is the west end closing earlier this year?

Heard rumours that most places are now having to close at 3am, can anyone shed any light on this?

Fair enough. Wonder why our venue is having to close so early then. Been told its due to a change in allowed opening times.

That's why I posted, wanted to see if any of the staff knew? McCrackin or Stivi? This is more your area. All lies? Or has something changed for particular venues?

Isn't the linked page related to just 5am? Where has 3am suddenly come from?

only the venues with cafe-concierto license can stay open till 5am, the rest close earlier... do a search in the forums, plenty of info about it!

I knew their was a change for 4am \ 5am, just hadn't seen anything on here yet about a 3am close. Thanks McRackin

have been on the west end every night for the past couple of weeks and seems to be 4am and 5am for those with later licenses, same as towards the end of last summer

one of DDI's reporters went to the west end recently to find out if the bars where respecting the new closing times or not and he found that a dozen were still open after 5am... snapped from yesterday's diario:

i wouldn't be surprised if after this denounce the council fines some of them during the next days so it looks like they're doing something...

Yeah bars closed really early. 3-4am is way too early to close in Ibiza. Now everyone just sits in the street drinking takouts from plastic glasses. Only ones that are open to 6 are stripclubs, some average places have to about 5.

I think its going to cut profits badly for some bars.

At least the pickpockets are gone from the street. Think i will move back to Bossa again.

Yes, they normally do, but you can usually barter with the door staff a bit more at that point. Water Party tried to charge us €35 each (there were five of us), managed to get it down to €35 for two, and the others in free, so €70 total for five which was much better.
This was a few years ago mind.
