Tinie Tempah always packs the Ibiza Rocks Hotel and this time wasn't different. Not only there was more people in the hotel than any other week this season but also the Ibiza Rocks Boat Party was the busiest ever, filling three boats!
Only a few days ago it was announced London rapper G FrSH would be opening this week, instead of Wizkid as previously announced.
By the time he and Tinie Tempah's dj Charlesy came on stage the venue was really busy. His set included songs from his mixtapes Legoman, Purgatory and Legoman 2 (where he collaborated with the likes of Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32 and Skepta), which we honestly were not familiar with but thoroughly enjoyed, and a freestyle version of Baauer's "Harlem Shake".
A good way to warm up an already eager audience.
It's been three years since Tinie Tempah's sucessful debut Disc-Overy, with many of the eight singles (nine if we include Swedish House Mafia's "Miami 2 Ibiza" that was on the album too) topping the charts worldwide, and by now it has run its course. The longly-delayed second album Demonstration seems like will finally see the light of day in september.
Fourth time in a row at Ibiza Rocks for Tinie, third as a headliner, so we were wondering how different it would be to the previous times and how much new material he would include in the setlist. For starters, this year he brought his live band again like in 2010 and 2011 while last summer it was only him and Charlesy on stage. People went completely ballistic with his most famous songs, like "Frisky", "Written In The Stars" or "Pass Out" (where he asked people to get their t-shirts off), but he also sang some stuff from his highly anticipated new album, like "5 Minutes", the first single "Trampoline" and "Drinking From The Bottle" (already played last year and during which, with the help of G FrSH, they sprayed people with champagne), songs that have everything to become big hits too. The already classic "Earthquake" (Labrinth) and the more recent "R.I.P." (Rita Ora) were the icing on the cake.
Later we wanted to do the after-party route but even if we were tempted to go to Pikes too, after Ibiza Rocks Bar and Es Paradis we were ready for bed. Back to the hotel on friday to catch british Hollywood superstar Idris Elba a.k.a Dj Driis and Example!
More pictures will be posted later...

From the beginning to the end, the place was buzzing and the atmosphere was electric. He showed us once again that he knows how to put on a great show, full of energy and interaction with the crowd.
